I've recently changed jobs and now have to work every Saturday. What's the best and easiest way to watch games on a cellphone? I've tried certain sites but the pop up ads make it impossible to watch. I have charter cable (west tn), do they have an app for people with cable subscriptions?

Should be able to get ESPN games on the Watch ESPN app with Charter, I'm not sure if SEC network games are on there or not. Last year I was able to watch CBS games on the CBS sports app.

Is the CBS sports app free? Or is it based on a cable subscription like watch ESPN?

Ditto what Ben said. If you can get the Watch ESPN app with your Charter username and password, then you should be good to go. Last year that app covered just about all of the games including SEC network, ABC, and the ESPN channels. And then the CBS games are live on their website.

Free, no subscription needed. I watched the end of the Georgia game on it last year and i watched some of the Army/Navy game on it, but i couldn't watch NFL games on it. I assume all Cbs college games worked though.

Wouldn't have changed jobs - Saturday work is the worst thing in the world during FB season - why even go in if youre going to sit and watch it on a cell phone for 3 hours ?

Because I'd get fired if I didn't go in. I work out of a car and have lots of freedom. Plus Saturday afternoons are really slow most of the time for us.

There is the original app for people who have to work Saturdays. It's called radio. However, I have tried it a couple of times in the past 18 years. I definitely suggest taking advantage of the newer technology.

Look into something called a Slingbox. I used it a lot when I had cable. The device plugs into your cable box and the Internet at your house. Then it puts the signal from your cable box onto the Internet which you access through their website or a paid app. App is a one time purchase and there is no monthly cost. Once on the app you are in full control of your cable box. Doesn't work that well if someone is at home watching tv on the same cable box b/c they can change the channel on you or vice versa.

It has no affiliation with Sling TV.

I have a Slingbox and it's fantastic. If you can watch it at home, you can watch it anywhere. Be careful if you aren't on wifi or don't have unlimited data. Streaming video can eat data limits up quickly.

I like to use stream2watch.co, I use it a lot for Sunday/Monday NFL football if one of the teams is playing and CBS is airing it on my side of the country. Really helps with fantasy and I'm sure it'll be convenient and free for you.

CBS website is usually free for the college games unless they have changed it. The watchESPN app should be playing all the other games since they will probably be on either the SEC Network or ESPN. Other than that you would have to go to one of those free streaming sites that have pop ups every 5 minutes.

The watch apps are great...about :20 behind regular TV. ESPN & SEC have one. I'd say CBS & ABC do too

Looks like you found the solution. If you are already paying for charter then the WatchESPN app should get you almost all SEC games.

I thought that CBS charged a subscription fee for their app?

Best deal I've seen is SlingBox...25 a month with the sports package...of course Kodi is still the king until they block it.

The past few years CBSSports.com have aired the games for free without having to sign in. I don't know if it'll work the same this year or not but it has in the past.

I've wondered why some networks do this and others don't but it seems that more and more things are being broadcast for free online recently. Pretty sure I watched the Super Bowl this year online if I can recall. I also watch major golf tournaments online through their respective websites for free.

I just know that last year on the CBS sports app you didn't need a subscription. You probably do for the actual CBS app.

Believe there is a 50" iPhone available now at Walmart
