How to slow down the hurry up Offense,, simple , find the position on Defense you plan on rotating players @. At the end of the play, the Defensive player 1 has "cramps", lays down, waits 45 seconds b4 going to bench, repeat as needed

I freaking hate that. If we are going to win...or at least compete...let's not do it like a bunch of sissies.

But what about sportsmanship?

Or...just play really good defense and get 3 and outs. Then make them sit on the bench for a long time while you methodically hand the ball off to the best RB in the game running behind the best O lineman in the game. repeat as needed. I look for a much improved O line this game and I don't think their 3-3 holds up to our O line and DW-A at TE. That is a lot of beef. I also don't see their DB's being able to contain much bigger WR's than they are used to seeing. Not saying we will win...but we will have more talent and be the better coached team on Saturday.

Correct their 3-3-5 is not designed to stop a smash mouth run game.

Best way to slow them down is to keep them on the sideline while you make 10-15 play drives running the ball and chewing the clock

Keep them in 3rd and long situations all day, and preassure Grier into mistakes. Him being help up off the ground by his team mates all day will help to.

How do you stop them?

Incomplete passes are a great start. If the previous play was an incomplete pass, everyone has to return to the previous line of scrimmage and they can't go fast. When you have the ball, run and play ball control.

Holding them to less than 3 yards on 1st down would be a good start. It used to infuriate me under Butch when we would lose 3 yards on 1st down and then "hurry up" to call another bad play. It caused us to be in 3rd and long a lot. Stopping the hurry up starts with making them have an ineffective 1st down.

Laugh if u want,,, point is it worked.

If by "worked," you meant that it embarrassed his coaches to no end, had his own teammates shaking their heads at him, and that team didn't try a stunt like that again the rest of the game. Sure. It worked.

But we're better than that.

We could all get together before the game and pass the hat for bail money for streaking candidates. We of course would need to plan this out so the streaking occurs at the correct time.
