How special is this season already?

It’s pretty insane to think we are 5-1 right now. After seeing all of the negativity on social media about our QB and some of the players, you would think we are having a losing season. But this season is very special. Just thought some fans may want to know this. Since 2007, we’ve started 5-1 or better only 3 times. 2016, 2022, 2023

As long as we are winning games, we need to trust this coaching staff and their decision on who’s playing. Don’t take this year for granted.

to be honest…. We have underperformed offensively and there is a lot to be desired. Hooker spoiled us as he was a special player . We have some big games left I just hope we can perform at a higher level!

We are also much better defensively. This is just a different team. We aren’t going to win in the same fashion as last year. Just win though.

It's not like we're 5-1 year in and year out. What 3 year's (2016, 2022, 2023) out of the last 17 year's (2006)? I'm with you. We need to look at our overall success. I don't care how we win as long as we win.

We've already exceeded my expectations because after the Florida game I didn't think we would beat both USCe and TAM.
But we have a tough row to hoe the next few weeks and we're not going to be able to continue winning unless we have some major or even almost miraculous improvement in execution by some offensive skill positions.

Having lived through the past 15 years as a miserable VOLS fan, I'll always consider a good/great year to be special. Met my wife in 2008 and she hadn't been a football fan, up until the last couple years I'm sure she thought I was a liar when I told her the VOLS were awesome.

Every season is special imho. Some of them are painful, but football season is always something to appreciate. That said, I'm happier with where we are right now than I have been most years since I became a fan back in 2003.

No lie….i remember being pissed when Fulmer barely won games and they’d end up 10-4…. Then all hell broke loose and I longed for 10-4

The Florida loss stung. I thought at the beginning we would lose to Bama Georgia and A&M. If we win Bama or Georgia we would be ahead of where I expected to be. That would be special. I sat in the A&M visiting seats last night and losing their quarterback obviously hurt.i honestly think the quarterback last night has a hurt non throwing hand. Did you see how many times he had the ball on the ground? Injuries can completely change expectations. I would be satisfied with 3 losses this year, but I don't see special just yet.

It will need end very special, but we should be ok and hopefully win the bowl game. 10-3 would be great, but might slip to 9-4. Not any worse than that. Still way better than Beldar Cornbread's teams.
