Being 5-0 is great. I would sure love to beat a&m and bama. However what if we lose both games and win out the rest of the season? Would you be disappointed with a 10-2 record? Just curious of everyone else's thoughts on this.
Injuries are the only thing that are a bummer right now. Hoping to see Kirkland back, and hopeful we can squeeze out at least one of these next two games without him. Also hoping JRM can come back healthy but I'm not holding my breathe. And also hopeful Sutton can play in SECC. Just sucks not knowing exactly when they'll be back or if they'll be back at all.
Like I said, we would "likely" be in the game at 10-2. Florida could win out, but I doubt it. Even if we don't make it, most of us would have sold our soul for 10-2 a couple years ago.
Right now its hard to say I'd be ok losing the next two games. But 10-2 and the sec east would work for me. I'm really hoping for 11-1 with a chance to beat Alabama in Atlanta to go to the playoffs.
My expectation at the beginning of the season was 10-2, so yes, I would be really happy with the season. If we win more than that, it's icing on the cake.
At this point it's still wait and see. We haven't won any games that we weren't supposed to win so far. Next two should determine how the seasons goes. I'm not certain that 2 sec losses would leave us in the sec championship yet.
Having so many injuries is really my chief concern. We have won every game thus far so I'm satisfied there, but I really wanted to see Cam and JRM light it up this season for their draft stock. They deserve that.
Hard to argue with 5-0, but the way we've gotten there EACH game is concerning. I'd really like to see better pass protection each game and better LB play. Those seem to be the two areas that we really struggle in (for obvious reasons at LB but who knows why on the OL).
I want to win them all! Being realistic, coming out of this 4 game stretch which involves playing 7 games before a break to get folks well would be tough on any team and I did not go into the season thinking we would win them all.
I would like at least a split between A&M and Bama but if that doesn't happen, win the 5 that follows and I am beyond happy with 10-2. Though I really do want to beat both A&M and Bama. It would be unreal to go into that break with no losses.
You know that feeling when you just finished mowing the lawn on a hot summer's day and the wife/girl friend bring you that first cold beer? yea, that kind of satisfied. I love this team's heart.
It's funny because I'm labeled that stupid term for not always being cheerful about things, but the bottom line has always been wins.
We are winning. So I'm not complaining. Very few are. But quite a few of those that hate us keep pretending we are. Goes to show who the truly miserable are I guess.
