For those who wore the Orange and White... how much would it be worth to run through the T again?

For those who have dreamt of running through the T... similar question... how much would you pay?

(I saw a post like this in a different thread and thought it would be interesting to see the value of running through the T)

I know it is truely priceless... but give me a number you would actually be willing to pay.

I agree. Running through the T is an honor that is bestowed only on those who earn it and/or are invited to do so. There should be no price and the administration should be ashamed for taking $1m for letting Thunder do it.
Of course, if he's willing to pay it, you can't blame the university for taking it.

I agree its an honor... but what would be the value?

It's purely hypothetical.

I agree too that it should be an honor, but if you giving the program $1,000,000, you are doing a lot more for the universtiy/program than any player could do IMO.

I have had the privilege to run through the T many times, as I was a student manager during the 98-00 seasons. There is nothing else like it. It truly is priceless.

$10.00 in 98
$0.00 in 08

Provided the money went to charity/food bank, etc.

If I ran through it by myself, that'd be fun and I would pay $1.00.

If I ran through it with the actual team, I'd need to be paid for medical expenses after being trampled.

Did you even read what I wrote? That would have answered your question. I said I had read it in another thread. I didn't think it would have been appropriate to start discussing it in that thread, so I started a new one since I was curious about the responses.

A lot of the players lately haven't really deserved to run through the T and they definitely have not earned it.

The whole point of running through it is that you've earned it. If you pay for it, you have earned nothing other than enough money to piss it away on a fake honor.

Why not just go out and hire someone to make you a replica of the Heisman, or the Sears trophy, and put your name on it? If you don't have the dough for that, just buy yourself a "World's Best Dad/Cook/Husband/" t-shirt.

Same principle.

Ok, I withdraw the question... my last sentence said it all. It is Priceless and no one ever should have put a price on it (Thunder).
