Rece Davis was telling a story about the UF-OSU game for the 06 title. The story goes that the video coordinator watched all of the OSU games that year. He goes to Urban after cutting the film and says to him "Two touchdowns...at least."

imo I think it simply comes down to that while the Big Ten has great players the SEC has better players year in and year out. I know im stating the obvious but oh well.

We're beating a dead horse at this point. It's known, and has been known for some time that the SEC is the premier conference in the nation. I honestly don't see how it's up for discussion.

The SEC is the weakest it's been in years, and even still, success radiates throughout the conference.

I actually talked to some of the players who played in that game. The first thing they told me was how slow and soft OSU's Oline was. They said they knew UF's Dline would be in the backfield all day without any problems. They also said there defense was slow and had no way to stop the speed on offense if Leak could distribute the ball.

Speed.

Every team in the SEC has a ridiculous amount of speed

...and particularly on defense. You could tell from Michigan State's first offensive snap of the game that they were doomed to get absolutely slaughtered. Half the Bammer defense met the running back three yards deep in the backfield.

There are exceptions of course. Penn St seems to have pretty good success against SEC teams and I remember Michigan upsetting Florida 3 years ago. I'm sure there are other examples but overall you're right. The SEC just always seems to have more speed and athleticism.

I will say Oregon is one of the only teams I've seen in person that has the same kind of speed that SEC teams have

Then you should watch them play more often. On offense, for example, they have two players with premier speed. One's a backup.
