Whatever it is, its not enough. He has continued to solidify his legacy as a QB mentor this year - and this year might be his most impressive work to date.

Ainge was a disaster last year, now he is playing like an all-American. Even against Florida he played well - has not had a bad performance to date and his year to date numbers are outstanding.

We need to keep Cutcliffe in Knoxville at all cost.

I have to agree. Cut was the MVP of that game. Unbelievable turnaround since last year.

Needless to say, Fulmer should be giving him about 1/4 of his salary in addditional compensation.

Without a top notch OC like Cutcliffe, Fulmer has his problems but with Cutcliffe he looks like a genius.

it's like a light switch. i thought ainge would still be a work in progress at this point. the running game still needs some work, but let's face it, cutcliffe was brought in to work with ainge.

he has worked his magic and as everyone has said solidified his legacy as an outstanding offensive coach and leader.

Yep, I like Fulmer personally, but the value of his coordinators can't be denied.
I think there are many Head Coaches out there who want to be the man all the time and won't surround themselves with outstanding people. Fulmer gives credit to his coaches and I think that is one of the reasons that he has done so well.

Ok, I might not understand everything....but what does Fulmer do? He has coordinators that call all the plays, right? I suppose he was responsible for getting and keeping these coord's, but now they are here, what does he do? He never seems to have "coaching conversations" with players during games. I'm not being a smart-a$$, I'm genuinely curious. I hear he does a lot for recruiting, but after hearing him speak so many times, I don't really see what would make him persuasive in that respect either.

Please, honestly, tell me....what does Phillip Fulmer do?

Regardless of what he does...great game tonight! GO VOLS!!!! 51 frikkin points!

they say fulmer is one of the best "salesmen" in college football. i think that's evident considering where some of our best players have come from over the years.

ainge - oregon
foster - california
mahelona - hawaii

etc etc etc

Can we please go one night without turning something into a Fulmer discussion? I'd just like to enjoy this win. :)

Cut is The Man no question. I hope he is with us for a long LONG time. Ainge will be a legit Heisman contender next year if he sticks around.

Did we have any potential recruits at the Georgia game?

Did you all see Fulmer jumping up and down on the side line after JoeT fumbled? It was hilarious. He would have blown a knee out if he had tried that last year!

The ESPN crew did give Cut a lot of praise and I seem to recall one of them agreeing with Archie Manning's assessment of Cut being fired from Ole Miss as an embarassment. My guess is that if he wanted the KY or Miss.St. job Cut could have either one but I think he'll stay in Knoxville for now.

No one listen's to me, I am still waiting for the archive.........2010, Fulmer steps down/up to A.D., Cut takes over the head football job at Tennessee.

It was all apart of the deal of him coming back.............

*Archive please* 10-8-06

Cut and Chief make $300K per year. I have thus far been satisfied with Mike Hamilton's decisions as AD and I am confident that both will be making $500K after this season.

Also let's give our O-line coaches (Atkin's and Luke) some kudos. The improvement from the Florida game is amazing. Sears and Young are playing like All-Americans, esp in pass protection, the last 2-3 games.

We need to keep Cutcliffe and Chavis right were the are. No matter the cost. I think Hamilton will realize that. Write the check.

I look for Cutcliffe to get some headcoaching offers this year. I just hope that we can keep the guy here. He is the best QB coach in America even better than "the Old Ball Coach".
