Over signing is too big of a risk. The better option is to just encourage some players to transfer and get more spots available for 2015.

I think it depends on what else you have in the cupboard. If Georgia State or some other extremely low tier program were to suddenly get the best class in history, I think they'd still have a hard time pulling in wins versus an average SEC team.

For Tennessee, if this class holds where it is now and the class actually performs close to what it is on paper, I think it alone could take us to 7-8 wins the next two years and 8-9 wins the following two years.

If we could add another solid top 10 class in 2015 with, then I think you add another 1-2 wins a year.... and so on.

TLDR: I think it'd take 3 great classes in a row to have a true shot in the SECCG, maybe 2 in a weak year for the SEC.

It's important to consider JUCOs as well. Butch and co are trying hard to makes us able to compete for the east in 2014, highly talented JUCO athletes are a big part of the formula.

Yeah it's easy, it goes kinda like this:

Lane Kiffin: "Sorry Tahj, we don't need you. You might wanna find yourself another school."

Tahj Boyd: "O.K. I'm outta here."

See? Simple.

How many of the 2014 are going to EE? And can they practice (learn the playbook) with the team if they make a bowl game?

Hubbs said on the Sports Animal last week that 12-14 could be EE for the Spring Semester. They can practice during bowl prep but not in the city where the Bowl game is played.
