Recruiting classes does it take to completely change the dynamic of a team? Honest question. 2 maybe 3?

With the lack of talent on this team the 2014 recruiting class will make a huge difference. After that, its all about plugging holes and establishing 2 deep depth. What we haven't had in a long time is back to back top 5 recruiting classes.

Last class was 20 something? This class is at least 30 and next will be 25. I say two yrs.

The reason I ask is because I am watching the Alabama game and both teams have players that can actually tackle in space. We don't have a single player who can do that. A "Volunteer" tackle consists of limply lunging at the shoes of their opponents. Not sure who is coaching that.

2015 will be our year but next year will be fun. Our team will be made up of freshman and sophomores in 2 deep. Lot of leadership in this legacy class. So excited.

4 to 5 years, don't get me wrong, you have to have a great class to start with, which CBJs is working on,but you have to recruit to needs and develop the freshmen, most of which should redshirt or not see a lot of playing time,of course, that is just my guess :)

Almost no freshman on the field either. They have spent a year or 2 at the college level practicing. Depth is the difference. We barely field a 1 deep. They aren't fast and don't get many plays to rest.

That is all coaching and not much to do with talent. If you are talented enough to earn a D1 scholarship, you should be able to be coached to tackle. We have alot of 4 star kids on defense who alot of other schools wanted. Would they be performing better somewhere else? As hard as it is to consider, I think there is NO WAY all these kids were misses for us. IMO it's coaching.

And speed. We need that more than anything. Perhaps some smarter scheming on defense wouldn't hurt either.

Do you know what kind of "tackling" I am referring to? It is pitiful to watch. And another thing, I am tired of this team making all of the SportsCenter highlight reels for the wrong reasons, as the whipping dogs of other teams. It is demoralizing. If I see that Landon Collins INT one more time I think I am going to puke. Makes me wonder if these teams are that good. Or is Tennessee just that bad making everyone else look that good?

Pretty sure it's 2 for 1 but we can only sign 20 prob next year anyway so we could oversign 2 and take the hit for four putting our max at 21 in 15. Maybe

How many of the 2014 are going to EE? And can they practice (learn the playbook) with the team if they make a bowl game?
