I don't know if you recall last season, but we had an AA wide receiver (whom Cal helped immensely in gaining that status), but were still beaten by every good football team (and Penn St) that we played.

Oh yeah, our guy had a much better QB than Longshore throwing at him as well. Don't get me wrong, it helped tremendously that the Cal defensive line looked like Cal Tech's, but Meachem didn't win that game for us. Our D line won that football game. You'll need one of those to ever compete effectively on the national level.

??? Funny you would say that, because at the PAC-1 plus the little 9 media days Jackson and coach Tedford were asked that very question. Tedford was asked if he was considering having Jackson return kicks and he said absolutly it's another way to get the ball in his hands, then they asked Jackson if he was looking forward to maybe returning kick offs especially with the new kick rule and he said he absolutly couldn't wait, just another chance for me to make exciting plays which is exactly what you would expect a playmaker to say, all playmakers want the ball. This was all on ESPNU, I watched and heard it all. Where did you here him publicly state otherwise ?

BTW... I would kind of like to see if he's that much faster than UT or the SEC speedsters UT faces.
