Regarding Leavitt, what makes sense to me from a business perspective is that it may be a number of days before he, his family and his agent make a decision. The media is ablaze with reports of this being a 3 school race now with all 3 hot after him, so you can just imagine his agent is telling him not be in any hurry, just sit back and watch the competing bids grow. Of course this is where a talented, experienced agent would come in I imagine because there is a risk of waiting too long. The competing schools are playing their hand by bringing in other potential quarterback prospects, essentially telling Leavitt, don't wait too long to decide cuz you might lose out altogether. There's a fine line on the timeline I guess, and an agent needs to know when the best offer he's going to get has been made. Then of course comes the dance of cozying up to one offer to see if either or both of the other schools will jump in last minute and up the ante. It's quite a tango, let's see who dances with the stars.
