I've been looking all over this forum for the number of recruits we can sign and haven't found an exact number yet. Someone help me out. Thanks!

You can only have 85 on scholarship. I thought it was 25 per year max, but apparently if you signed less the year before you can back count (???) It is a shame that so many guys don't pan out.

They can have more people committed but they're going to have to only stick to 24... could open some doors

Exemption was granted to Missouri and aTm for this year. They are back counting because they signed a small class last year. They are still held to the 85 rule though.

I believe this to be true:
1. All schools must limit their total football roster to 85 per NCAA.
2. In the SEC, schools are limited to 25 players that can be enrolled each year, but they cannot go over the 85 limit.
3. Each school is allowed up to 3 back counts from the year before if they did not enroll 25 players from the year before. They number of back counts allowed depends on the number enrolled below 25.
4. The SEC gave Missouri and Texas A & M a one year exception on the 25 limit. They still are limited by the 85 total rule.

Please correct me if I am wrong on any point. Thanks!
