How many points do we score against Bama this next season?

Then that’s a flawed way of looking at it imo. Bama isn’t the measuring stick. I hate Bama with a passion but you, I and almost any Vol fan with functioning brain cells know that we aren’t even in the same universe.

Your statement does make Bama the measuring stick! If we're not "in the same universe" then we don't measure up do we! Kiffen proved with Ole Miss last year that we all are just coaching behind! Just maybe we get the coaching and catch up!

Every new season some believe AL will be down the next yr because of all the talent they have lost to the NFL last yr. Saban's secret: you have a team of all 5* future NFL players and you don't regress with the loss of talent, you just reload. We may score more than Pruitt's pedestrian JG lead offense could but we still lose. Not in same universe yet if ever.

We could score 10 or 40. Why do some Vol fans use what we do against Bama as some sort of measuring stick? Ridiculous.[/QUOTE]

They're pretty much the measuring stick for everyone right now.

Really? Did Ole Miss win or lose? How is it somehow more acceptable to lose by 10 as opposed to 20? There are no asterisks besides these losses. A loss is a loss.

Lol. You think every SEC team measures their success on how bad they lose to Bama? Bama has proven they are head and shoulders above everyone else and it’s really not close.

Id say at least 21 but if our defense is Swiss cheese they might score 61 on us with thier 3rd string in. Like someone said on here before it won't matter if we score 50 if our opponents score 51. To sum it up our defense scares me to death! Guys are gonna have to step it up with our linebackers walking away and our db's not being able to cover slants.

Remember what they have lost on Offense in the last two years:

Quarterback: Jalen Hurts,Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones
Running Back: Najee Harris
Wide Receiver: Jerry Jeudy, DaVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle and Henry Ruggs

Yes they will reload, but next year they are not the force they have been the last two years. However we will still need to get in the 30`s to make it close. I actually fear we will concede more against Georgia (Ouch that hurts)
Bama can name the score basically. Anyone that thinks differently is delusional at this point. We’re terribly thin at several positions on defense.
