The question was "how many has quit?" 3 have quit (Creer, Coleman, Bailey). I believe the others when let go for achedemics, drugs, etc. Sawtelle was released to because he hasn't recovered from his shoulder surgeries.

But since CLK took over there have been 10 that are no longer a VOL. Only 2 would have seen significant paying time this year (D-Mo, and Creer). It's called SRPING CLEANING, getting rid of dead weight that's not helping the team.

what the heck is kiffin doin?!?!?!? keep the players we are gonna suck this year!

He's trying to get our reputation back.....getting rid of some players happens, but most of them are getting rid of themselves by their actions. I hope we do well this year, but we're building for the future and those guys would have just set us back. Trust that our coach knows what he's doing and will bring in the players that want to play and represent for the University of Tennessee.

ill be glad when this idiot is gone--didnt have many playmakers going in to this year and now we have way less......keep the faith guys...long road to hoe.

Yeah, Darius Myers was a real playmaker. I don't think we'll ever recover from that loss. And how will the team hold together without a focused competitor like Demetrice Morley?

Incidentally, I will never disagree with a coach for getting rid of the bad eggs or for weeding out those who cannot contribute at the level that he wants. I don't care if we end up with 30. As long as it's 30 who can compete and will sell out on every play. Keep in mind that this is not about THIS season or next season. This is about building a long term program and it starts with recruiting elite talent. We do not have elite talent in most positions on the field right now. Somewhere along the way, we either stopped getting our lion's share of blue chippers or we stopped developing them.

good points no doubt, but a true leader wins w/ what he has while building for the future.

yep, don't be surprised if number is doubled by WKU game from 9 to 18

:eek:hmy: Jeez, you really think the casualty list will be that long??? I was thinking maybe 2-3 more and that's it. 18, wow! Just curious, who else do you think will quit?

These are good candidates to leave:

Ahmad Paige
Tyler Maples
Todd Campbell
Josh Hawkins

There are some others who could also go, but I think these 4 are probably the most likely, as they will be buried on the depth chart and they could go somewhere else and get playing time. The three receivers are very good, but we are just too deep for them to play significant downs.

Yeah those are good candidates, along with William Brimfield and....hell I'm just gonna say it, Daniel Lincoln if he doesn't get his #$%^ together!
