The folks I know that have been attending have no plans to attend, crowd ought to be around 15,000 - 18,000,

Fulmer's attempt to spin the season on Vol Calls was perhaps the most disingenuous and caustic public comment from a Tennessee athletic director since Doug Dickey reminded Wade Houston that Cherokee Country Club was not an option. His continued position as the athletic director is a fraud on the university and an affront to the fanbase as he stated he would be in the position on an interim basis until the new football staff was in place. He has no experience nor skill sets suitable for this role. His continuing heavy handed approach to the mainstream fans is driving apathy and running off casual local fans, which will be desperately needed over the next 3 - 5 years. His personal contract and Aight's extension have locked the football program into financial and competitive mediocrity for another 5 years minimum, while the conference changes all around him (again).

Fulmer's legacy continues to deteriorate as he tries to tell fans what to think about his tanking hire and as other SEC programs move to upgrade their staffs, as also happened 2003 - 2008, Fulmer pleas for more time for Cornbread, things are not as bad as it seems and that the team is better that the record (which most fans view as a statement that Cornbread is incompetent), fully reinforcing and confirming those opinions of Fulmer that he has truly lost touch with the college game and contemporary college athletics.

Might be more on the sidelines than in the stands. If they keep Pruitt and his crew, that might be the norm next season even if the asinine covid restrictions are lifted.

Fans are finding other things to do on Saturdays and desperately waiting for basketball to start...a program the University apparently still cares about.
Caring about bb is something this university hasn’t done a lot of over the years. Coaches have made us care, Mears, Pearl and Barnes. BB fans are patient. Having a terrible football program has helped awareness of BB prowess.

They're forcing them to work?
Talk about suffering the suffering

Lots of reasons to not go, that one seems odd.
