How Many EMPTY SEATS Were There vs Arky?

The upper upper deck was a ghost town. They said the attendance was 102,000 but more than half the people left at halftime. That happens every game i go to. Why do people leave at halftime???

By the 4th qt, maybe 30,000 were left.

Most of the game the crowd was trying to do the wave or just completely ignoring the game. Talking on the phone or text messaging seems to be the "In" thing to do instead of watching football now. To many women in their who go just to be seen.

Do you eat a lot of beans and drink a lot of beer before games.:birgits_giggle:

Its good to suport the team even if they have problems lets face it our team is very young.

let's face it. florida's even younger and they had no trouble against us.

That has to be the worst excuse out there.

Someone said that it looked like there were about 15,000 empty seats even though the attendance was listed at 102,368.

Does anyone that went have good estimate???

many sources have said there were very little seats empty.....less seats available than most anticipated.

There were about 10 empty rows on the right side of the scoreboard almost all the way to the press box. The upper section of the student section was scattered with people, but other then that full.

102k is the tickets-sold count, not turnstile count. UT never releases actual turnstile count.

There were a LOT of empty seats. Looking around shortly before kickoff, before people spread out to enjoy the extra room and moved to empty sections, there was nobody in sections LL-PP above about row 12, and huge gaps of seats around the north and east upper decks, sections H-L, and the north endzone. Me and my g/f were the only people on my row.

The previously mentioned mild cheer-fade to boos for Fulmer was spot on.

After that "Don't Stop Believin" clip, they played one later of "I'm a Believer" by the Monkees.

Best line of the day went to my g/f. One side of the jumbotron fritzed-out for a while during the game. She pointed it out to me and said "the crew will have to work like heck to fix that, might even have to go back and watch the instructional tape." She clapped during the entire statement.:clapping:

Has she put in her resume yet?

Also, give her my number, I need a head coach.

AMEN on that brother. We sat in section TT and the folks in front of us just yakked away the whole game NEVER got loud or anything. Then gave us akward looks when we did.
There is no way there were 102,000 people at the game maybe 95,000 but thats stretching it.
I have been wondering who else has noticed that going to the game for some folks are just a reason to be seen rather than pull for your team. I thought it was just me.

I just notice certain people that just can't stay in their seats
and have to go get food or whatever every 15 minutes even in the middle of the Vols driving offensively.Maybe I'm just jealous they can afford the food there, I dunno.

I know. Why can't they at least wait until it's at a time out, or after a play or something! Geeez...:furious3:
