How long should we give Pruitt?

It's easy to see how bad we look at times and over-react, but rebuilds and new staff inplants are more complicated than just "imagine what Spurrier could do with this roster". Look at Nebraska and UCLA. They're not exactly charging ahead full steam and few could argue their coaches' ability. I'm committed to letting this bake slow and come out right without pissing and moaning about a horrible 1st season.

Pruitt seems to be unsure of himself. I bet he likes being an assistant coach better.

Righttt, or else he could have just stayed at Bama collecting NC Rings every year.

Pruitt didn’t take this job for nothing.

He wanted a challenge and now he has it.

Whether he’s the guy or not, it’s yet to be determined because it’s his 1st year.

You can throw FSU and Arkansas in there too.

I argue against giving a coach more than 3 years without significant progress... but the reactions after 3 games are pretty ridiculous. I'm not even ready to throw in the towel on UT being better than expected this year. If the OL comes together at all then they can beat UF. The next 3 games are rough but I don't think USCe looks like world beaters at all. MU, UK, and Vandy are all winnable.

UT needs to continue to have no worse than an "average" injury rate and needs to improve over the course of the year.

LOL... what proof do you offer that he's unsure of himself? The guy is fully confident in what he's doing.

I believe coaches should get a pass year 1 no matter what the record is because they are usually thrown into a crap situation with little time to recruit who they want so they are kind of stuck with who they have. But there should be noticeable progress by the end of year 3 or else that usually means nothing is going to change. If we aren’t in the SEC Championship by year 5 then we probably need to look at other options. That is unless we are winning 10 games a year and Georgia has literally become Alabama East and it has become impossible to compete for the championship. That could become a reality.
