How is our fanbase divided?

Where do you live and how do you stand on the Dooley issue?

Just wondering how the fan base is divided. Seems to me a majority of the anti-Dooley crowd comes from within our border and a majority of the sunshine pumpers live outside Tennessee. I could be wrong, I guess I will find out soon enough.

Since I cant add more choices to the poll, If your in the crowd that is still undecided go ahead and choose Dooleys the man, just pick inside TN or outside.

Respond to this poll as if someone had a gun to your head and you had to pick one.

Idk, you're going to have the fire him crowd no matter who is coach and no matter how successful or lack there of we are. Just more deafining with the way we lost to UF and the UK loss.

You should do a similar poll, but instead of residence, you should control for whether or not the voter graduated with a degree from UT. That might be interesting information.

I live inside Tennessee, always have, and class of 1998. I do not think Dooley is what we need, and have been fairly consistent in this analysis although I do not post in every of the 100s of alike threads about it. I only support keeping Dooley under any circumstance if we cannot get an upgrade, and if we cannot get an upgrade from Dooley we have fallen vastly farther than I am willing to admit. With that said as long as he is the coach I will remain the same fan I have always been, and hope we win out. I just have no faith in Dooley and Co to get it done.

If someone can tell me how to edit the poll I would love to add a couple more options.

I cant imagine what wouldnt be an upgrade from the level of coaching Tennessee is currently receiving.

Very respectful post. Doesn't take bashing your team to get your point across. All the so called Vol fans come on here and bash Dooley and then say they are all VFL... If the Vols strap it on every Saturday I'm gonna be there no matter if we are 13-0 or 0-13. It'll be that way till I die and that's what everyone's approach should be if you are a true VFL! We all want to win but Dooley is our coach. He had the guts to take on a huge task so give him support guys! This is our VOLS!

I think it's important to point out that no matter how you vote on this that we're all Tennessee fans and we ultimately want the same goal and that's the success of Tennessee football. There's just a huge difference of opinion.

Stupid, stupid poll. It's indicative of how ignorant our fanbase has become over the years. Why are the questions always in absolute extremes.

So you have to either think Dooley is the man OR you want him fired.

Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid poll

Lived in west TN my whole life until 2007. Not a graduate, but watching the Vols was a family thing from Grandfather on down. My college was Austin Peay so yeah not much football to be excited about there.

I have mixed feelings. I really want him to get it done for the stability of the program, but can he? I really don't know.

I'm in Tennessee. I'm on the fence, but the fence started leaning after the Arkansas game last year. Before that, I was in the "I like Dooley, and I hope it works out" boat. I hope for a turnaround, but I'm waiting to see the rest of this season.

And putting your avi as a crossed-out Dooley head certainly lends itself to the assumption that you are hoping this team wins out. Well done on not being confusing at all. I certainly applaud your creative efforts.

I actually mirror his thoughts. I don't know if Dooley is the man and I don't know if he should be fired. There should be a selection for tweeners. Having absolute extremes is very pointless.

I'm not arrogant enough to say "I" think he should be fired. There is a lot i don't know. I'm not there at practice ect. I do notice some adjustments by Dooley to the offensive play calling for example since the UF loss. I will say i do like him as a person and hope he does succeed.

I don't get how people say they "know" he isn't a good coach. I don't think very many start off awesome but learn and become great. Nick Saban for example. Anyway just a simple country boys opinion.
