I just looked at the Hotseatrankings and he is somehow #2 on the list without ever coaching a game for Tennessee,not even the orange and white game.

These are minor violations and nothing more,I personally am not worried about him commiting minor violations as long as he holds up his end of the bargain and wins games.


Finebaum is a clown.

What most people in the country realize (except those wearing orange blinders) is that the chances of LK succeeding at UT are little to none. While most UT fans (at least least the majority of those that post on VN) have been "energized" by the latest theatrics of LK, the unbiased observer sees desperation from a coach that isn't sure what to do from one day to the next.

I wish they would just let the guy coach.

He's getting under every other SEC coaches skin and I am enjoying it.

The only people complaining about Kiffin are those who are still in the past in terms of football,I know people like this who complain at the spread offense & black QB's.

Weird. All the people I've talked to here with no vested interest in UT wish they had a coach at UH that was like Lane.

There goes that theory based on pure conjecture.

Vols 5150...you do an excellent job keeping people stirred up on the board. Is that the plan to your "madness"? I like it! If so, you and Kiffin seem to have a lot in common because I believe he has a plan as well. The plan may not work, but then again....that's why we play the "game".

I'm sure the guy who was the OC at the premier program in college football, surrounded by a bevy of experienced coaches, has no clue what he's supposed to be doing. Right.

I like the things Coach Kiffin is doing. Will we win? I don't know, but I'll be watching and supporting as always. These minor infractions are nothing if there are no consequences and I think this staff is smart enough to realize that. Keeping things stirred up= spice? You bet.

Kiffin is doing what needs to be done. Showing some "mucho grande testiculos" is what this program has needed for a while now. There is such a thing as too much bad press but at this point whatever we need to fire this fan base up is ok with me. A few minor infractions is still less than every other SEC coach has done this year. He's just under the microscope with the biased media and will need to win to shut em up. The wins will come.......might not be a miracle turn around this year but it only takes a solid foundation to turn a failing program around. I think that he's laying that base this year and once he gets his players in position we'll be along for a helluva ride.

Vol nation likes him, assembled awesome coaching staff, landed 4-star recruiting class in just a few weeks, shows no fear of rival programs ... other coaches and fans are just WISHING he was on hot seat ... but they don't get a vote.

Its time to move on from all this all-about-the-coach spotlight ... it is about the University ofTennessee Volunteers football team.
