He's getting first team reps with the RBs. Should see him play some at Buffalo.

I would have no problem if CDD used DY in the back field in certain situations. Buffalo will be the perfect opportunity too. Will they? Who knows!

It does not bother me that he is a specialty guy. We need him as a returner more than as a RB. I can see him as a spot guy on offense, but not as a full time RB.

I'm guessing that by saying he's a "specialty guy" he means he will be used not only on punt/kickoff returns but also certain situational plays on offense like end arounds, wild cat formations, etc. I'd say we'll use him a lot but he won't be an every down back. He wouldn't have the durability.

Heaven forbid we run a screen.

I was thinking the same thing Saturday. Someone on here made a good point though about the snapping issue. If you run a screen and you mess up a snap either its a turnover or Bray is getting killed... I agree though. If we can get this snap issue down, then our offense will look a lot better.

When Sanders and Clawson were here everyone was so tired of screen plays they couldn't wait to see us throw the ball down field 30 times per game. Now we are doing that, and all I hear is how we need more screens. Didn't realize we had so many proven OC's on this site.

Why can't we do both?

You don't have to be in shotgun to run a screen. I think the screen would have kept the lbs off Bray on the blitz.

Yeah - he better not be taking any reps from Poole, cuz Lord knows he's tearing it up this year

I think the fanbase just wants some balance. Right now, we are just an air raid team. It's very one dimensional. Adding screens, and improving our rushing game will make defenses respect all aspects of our offense.

Catch 22. I will say that w/out Hunter, we will have to change the dynamic of the offense a little bit.

As long as we aren't disciplined in our lines and incapable of opening gaps for the return, it won't matter who is returning.
