Anthony Davis would also be in the best one-and-done player conversation.
Ultimately, how far Duke goes in this year's tournament will have a lot to do with how people remember his college career.
I dislike Kentucky as much as anyone but Davis was pretty much unstoppable on both ends of the floor.
Cooper Flagg is still really good though.
He isn't even unlikeable like good Duke players (especially white Duke players) are. It's amazing.Cooper Flagg is the most complete basket player I’ve ever seen at Duke as a freshman. He is this weird blend of Grant Hill and Christian Laettner. He leads Duke in every major statistical category. The way he gets his teammates involved, while at the same time having the ability to takeover the game reminds me of Grant Hill. His competitiveness reminds me of Laettner .
Haha. Very true . I hope that he can have a final 4 in common with them though.@RDU VOL#14
He’s good but he’s no RJ Davis. He’s got a long way to go before he’s in the same conversation as Bacott too.
And the talk that he might even come back....ludicrous, but he said it.
He’s not gonna comeback, but he said he’d like to. He already has a shoe deal w/ New Balance and also a deal w/New Era. I’m not sure of the #’s, but I’m guessing those are pretty big deals. Even if he gave Duke a discount I don’t think he would stay. The contract the #1 pick in the draft this year got was worth $57 mil, and the really big money will be in that second contract. Unless Duke is ready to pony up about $15 mil and Flagg buys a ridiculous insurance policy, or the kid is a complete fool, he's not coming back.
It's the "old guy *****ing on the new thing so they look smart" phenomenon. I don't know why it is so hard for people to say that he's certainly one of the best one-and-done players ever (which is basically an objective fact), and leave it at that.I can't figure out why some of yall are saying " well he's not this guy or that guy." The kid is himself. He's a phenom, he's fun to watch and he's a team player. ...and why is Edey even showing up in this conversation?
He plays for Duke is a big piece of it. Same people said it about AD and even Edey in the momentIt's the "old guy *****ing on the new thing so they look smart" phenomenon.
