How far does the UT Men's BB team advance into the NCAA tournament?

They could win it if they got hot. They can play anyone. Realisticly, anything past the first weekend is a success nowdays.

They've beaten a few good teams and should've beaten another good one.

Just depends on how hot they are like Rosen said. I'd look for Sweet 16 realistically but momentum could see them as a first round exit or NC's.

I think 2nd round is most likely, unless they gel a lot, but I really don't know much about basketball.

we will catch fire at the end of the season instead of cool off like last year. we win it all!

On a given day, this team has proven it can play heads-up with literally any team in the country. That being said, I voted for Sweet 16.

If we shoot free throws like we did against Ohio State we'll be gone in the second game. Otherwise, sweet 16 this, final 4 run next year.

One step at a time. We made the tourney last year and were very close to making the Sweet 16. So that would be a great way to end the season, if we made it to the S-16.

A team that relies soley on the shooting of one player will have trouble making it to the Final Four. We must develop more inside scoring as defenses extend to cover Lofton.

Agreed!! I think we depend to much on Lofton. We have to have some other kids step up. I think that is happening with the freshmen. Smith, Crews, Chism and even Childress are improving. But it looks like players who at the start of the year where going to have breakout years like J. Smith are not playing so good now but that could change.

If the threes ever fall for Smith and Lofton together then we can beat anybody. I voted for Great 8 but would be happy with Sweet 16. Next year is the year for Pearl to make a run deep in the tourney. But I wouldn't mind it a year early.

Regardless, I am proud of Pearl and the team. Try to live in Basketball land where I do and get made of fun of for rooting for UT in basketball! NOT ANYMORE!!! I was just hoping that this year would prove last year wasn't a fluke, we've proved it wasn't. Not bad for a team with a 6'7" guy as your tallest starter and sometimes four freshman on the court! The future looks bright! Two years ago that OSU lost would've been by 32 instead of 2. Actually, it should have been only one. His foot was on the line!!
