How far behind fla. And bama are we?

The most stupid :crazy:comment I have seen in a while.....Bama's O line was their greatest asset this year after the D

a Sr QB in a good offense can make an OL look outstanding but that same OL struggles the next year without the QB. You're talking to a board that has witnessed it first hand.

True. But their QB didn't throw it to the wrong team as much as he had in the past. He made better descisions this year than in years past. Their O line was pretty stout. How many of them will they lose?

Another Cock?!?!?

I ask again, has any program contributed less to the SEC than USCjr?

Brilliant....smack coming from someone with the following record:

SOUTH CAROLINA (21-4-2)
at Knoxville: 13-1
at Columbia: 8-3-2
Biggest Win: 54 points (54-0; 1929 in Knoxville)
Biggest Loss: 24 points (24-0; 1903 in Columbia)
Longest Winning Streak: 12 games (1993-2004)
Longest Losing Streak: 1 game (multiple times)
Current Streak: South Carolina 1 game
1903 Columbia L 0-24

My favorite part
2-2 and an overtime loss since Spurrier took over

If this is "most stupid" then you must believe that Bama would be just as good with Crompton behind center, right?

Great, I'm glad a .500 record is something you are proud of! Unfortunately a .500 record won't win the SECE.... Oh yea, you already know that don't you!

You don't throw it to the other team if you have time to read the progressions and find the open receivers. His descision making come with the help of a btter OC someone who could keep it simple and keep him calm.

Playing for most of 4 years didn't hurt either. And Spurrier just beat 2 of the worst football teams in Ut history for about half of SC's total wins in the series.

I don't think UT o-line was even mediocre at best. I read in another post where someone claimed they changed the blocking scheme and was without a doubt an awful mistake.

This is a good observation. However, our 2008 O Line is the same O Line that led the nation in sacks allowed in 2007....

affirmative.... changed to a zone blocking scheme.

you missed the point- UT's OL was considered one of the best in 07 based on stats (behind a Sr QB). That was the same line that played in 08 (behind terrible QB's).

Our O line was messed up from the word go. Blocking scheme was changed, and it was said that it was not the problem. I disagree with that, U don't get that bad in 1 year with the same players. If we get our O line toge
ther and find a QB we will be competative next year.

You missed my point. Bama played power football: heavy dose of run and make the passes that are called. The o-line made JPW look good. And to reitterate my original post Bama will have a better QB under center next year. Put that in your book.

That's what we said about Crompton.

I realize that they sucked regardless

I'm going to take your profession opinion on this Dr. Cock.... I realize you have witnessed many sucky squads down at Williams Bryce and would certainly know better than myself! :hi:

May be a better player, but better next year may not be reasonable. That O line is fixing to loose its best 2 players as well. Book that.
