I wonder if they received any benefits for this adoptive child? I have no experience with adoption so I am clueless.

It doesn't make sense that a child doesn't come home and assume he ran away. No police report, no searching for him. How do you just assume he ran away and everything will work out ok without looking?

This lady on the CBS morning show, I believe she was the adoptive mother's sister, said she witnessed the parents abuse the boy, once handcuffing him in a bathroom during a Super Bowl party.

I was wondering that as well. Wouldn't be surprised if they received tax breaks for raising an adopted kid.
