Not knocking anyone, especially Helton. Seems like he got hurt, besides he knew where his bread was going to be buttered. Veazey mostly did mop up duty and actually had a couple of receptions. Suggs had one decent game against LSU, ended up at GT and lost out to Reggie Ball? Mathews, he was a local boy who got a shot and was benched.

I heard a tale one time about one of these guys, I won't say the name, but some of the students were so upset with him that at a bar one night he left his drink momentarily, and well, you get the pitcure. I wouldn't drink out of it.

j.c. is incomparable. i mean, there's no point of reference. half the high school q.b.s in tennessee could do a comparable job. he's like george w. bush, the gold standard for incompetence.

Agreed. For the next 50 years we will be able to say ... "at least he is better than Crompton"

What ever happened to Burney Veazey? He was a freshman in '98. If he was 2nd string on that team, why didn't he start post-Martin?

Suggs and Matthews only played because Casey Clausen had injured his throwing shoulder. If I remember correctly, though, they could execute a handoff.

imagine everyone in here's thoughts if the kid comes back and plays lights out rest of the year........ok won't happent...
but..
he sure as heck can take a hit.
