Vol fans that are members of rivals team forums that seem to appease them to maintain their membership?

I think there can be a good balance between being a respectful member of a rival teams forums, yet also voicing your opinions about your team and the rival team without seeming like a push over.

It annoys me when you go on there, and it's like they, the vol fan(s), treat you like an outsider for fear that if they agree with you, or NOT bash you, they'll upset or hurt their status with the rival members.

I know there are some members on here that do this...

What say ye?

Why would you ever go to another Board?

I like to see what's going on with the competition. In doing this, I’m often enraged when they are blatantly bias or when they speak of Tennessee and have no idea what they're talking about.

For example, when they bash Tennessee for signing Bryce Brown, saying he's a head case, etc. When they know d-well that if they could have signed him, they would have in a heartbeat.

Or when they lose an instate guy, or a top target to CLK and staff, and say comments like, "I'm glad we didn't sign him, X player that we already have is better anyways....." when obviously, in this situation, he wasn't.

How old are you?

I like rival boards. You get insight from fans other that UT fans. I know what many Tennessee fans will think about different topics. I like to see what rival fans have to say about topics

That is part of going to rival boards

reading them is one thing but posting a bit different. I recently saw a bammer board and there is a "Vol fan" over there who seems to be on his knees constantly. It's sad when people like that and trolls are the only impression people get

I like this board. I don't like the format of most others and particularly dislike the lack of moderation at GVX.

There are enough fans of other teams that show up here to suit me fine... If I want corrupt myself.... I'll find a truck stop and roll around on the restroom floor. I'd about as soon do that as go to a Gator or Bama board.

you're seriously going to act like you know what UT fans have to say about a topic but don't know what opposing fans might say? That's ridiculous.

You would be surprised at how realistic they can be on certain things. At the same time, they can be completely overboard on stuff as well.

Often I have my own UT outlook on things and I like to see what others think as well.

I honestly haven't ever thought about going on another board because usually the very interesting stuff is posted on Volnation by someone else. I really can't fault anyone for reading/posting on this or a rival message board since we all waste a little time reading and posting on message boards. Some more than others.

I see nothing wrong with reading or posting on rival boards. I think you can become much more informed of things going on around the conference.

I am a member on several rival boards and post on some of them.
