For the most part you can't. You have to sign up for the waiting list but it's already full for 2016. Anyone who bout a ticket for 2015 was offered a ticket for 2016. If they didn't buy it then they were kicked off the official list and the SEC contacted the next name on the waiting list. It's pretty easy to make a profit on those tickets so most people just buy them every year and go if their team makes it or sells it if they don't.

Don't you dare think you can just buy one off the street. In 1998, my brother took me to the game, and we bought tickets from a guy on the street.

Got in ok, but as we were going to our seats, a usher checked our tickets as we were heading to our seats. She held us with her until the police arrived.

They took us down to the basement, in a room, and interrogated us. Turned out the tickets were fake and we were almost arrested because buying tickets from random people on the street is illegal there.

As we were being escorted out, I remember feeling grateful that we weren't going to jail, sad that we spent so much money. The police felt sorry for us and sold us two tickets at costs in some great seats and we got to see the game live anyway.

Grateful for those guys. Saw history.

We were camping in Stone Mountain GA a couple years ago and some LSU fans who were staying in motorhomes came back to campground to watch Georgia and LSU Game on community pavilion tv. Us Tennessee fans were asking if they couldn't find tickets. They said they paid like $600 on street to scalper then got to gate to find out were fake tickets. That's rough.

Other than stubhub and such with jacked up prices? Any other ways?

Each SEC team that plays in the Championship games gets an allotment of tickets. If you are a "priority ranked" UT season ticket holder you will have a chance through UT. Do not try through the SEC as people have been on the waiting list for over 10 years and still do not have tickets.:clapping:

I tried to get on that list back when it first opened up and didn't make the cut.

On a side note, Peach bowl semi final game tickets are sold out, but there are some first bowl tickets available still at $175 a pop. I might get some as an investment, could be to watch the Vols or could sell them for double what I got them for.

I bought fakes off the street before the Peach Bowl vs. Clemson. I was PO'd.

The best way to get championship tix to kick Bama's azz tomorrow.

Then the SEC Office will send about 30,000 tickets to Knoxville.

Make a lot of noise when Bama has the ball!

You can purchase rights to buy tickets at face value should the Vols make the playoffs and / or championship game.

I've been buying SECC tickets directly from the SEC for face price for years. I was only on the wait list for 1 year (but that was 2002 or 2003). I've been buying them since then. Usually order them in the summer.
