I went to the first two games, watch the 3rd on TV, missed the 4th, but will at the game tomorrow. One thing I've noticed is that they can be very streaky and so far those streaks have been deadly to the other team. Do you guys think they have the talent to knock off a Duke, UNC, UCLA, etc........ :dunno:

Hard to say against the current competition. But the talent is there, coaching is there, just got to get the breaks now and get that train a runnin'.

They definitely have the talent. Chemistry will evolve over the course of the season. I anticipate they'll be a much better team in Feb/March than they are right now, esp. when/if Prince joins the rotation.

There, fixed it for you. Oh, and it is getting COLD down South.

Har de har har.

Front supposed to move through here today. Temperatures in the a.m. next couple of days supposed to get down into the 40's, which for Orlando in mid-November is quite chilly (and welcome, by the way).

Uh, you do realize they were talking about basketball, right?

Yes. It was a tie-in to LG's constant "fixes" in quotes and the fact that he said that UT is far behind UF and most of the SEC in coaching and player talent. If a UT fan, talking about football had to ASK if UT could beat Duke, I would probably lament and cry myself to death.

I was being cheeky.

I went to Pensacola for training and was a bit taken by how bone-chillingly cold it can get in the winter there.

I caught it! (Thought it was funny, to, but don't want to encourage you too much)

I watched bits and pieces of the UNC game last night and Davidson gave them all they wanted. Davidson was up several times and ended up losing by 4.

Hopefully Lofton will get his shot back before too long. Thankfully we have the talent this year that we can win when he is not on every night.

Do live near Maitland? I am there from time to time for work.

Oh sure, in January or February we can get into the 20's, but usually only for a brief period of time. I remember that it snowed once for about a half hour down in West Palm Beach. I guess I was in the 7th grade. Didn't stick and was really just a little bit of frozen precip, but they had to cancel school (not the snow of course, but the cold threatended to tax the utilities too much).

Just a bit of fun to show ole LG that not everyone wants to run him out of town with pitchforks. (troll joke)

Now I'm going to feel the need to explain my jokes, as humorless as they might be.

That's the truth. And when it rains, it's still humid so it doesn't snow... it's that nasty cold, whipping rain. Disgusting. Don't get me started on the summers there.. as if we need to hijack this thread.

Oh, yes. I live in Winter Springs, which is about 20 minutes from Maitland (on the other side of Winter Park). Office is in Winter Park.

If you ever come down when there is a big UT game scheduled (especially one with UF), let me and finevol and hohensvol know. I've gotten together with fine a couple of times, though I mised out on he and hohen a week or so ago.

Sorry if I stepped on your joke. I am a bit slow before the coffee has a chance to kick in. Love your use of "cheeky"

If we can get the press and Chris Lofton going, we could very well contend with those teams.

I think we can contend with any team out there. However, we're still not hitting on all cylinders -- and I'm afraid the level of competition thus far may have lulled us to sleep. I could see us dropping one of those games in New Jersey next weekend.
