How could I go about getting a UT player's autograph?

Well my son's friend, a georgia fan, has a few autographs including: Knowshon Moreno, Matthew Stafford, and Peyton Manning. He claims that he went up to Stafford and Moreno at the Dawg Walk and got their autographs. Could I go up to say, Tyler Bray, during the Vol Walk and get his autograph? Like, before it starts or before they go into the stadium? Or would there be a better way of doing so?


(I realize how many O$U jokes I'll hear by posting this) :)

Around these parts you're much more likely to hear jokes about how ridiculous it is for a grown man to ask for another man's autograph.

Just go up to them and ask. Never hurts to try if you want them. The Orange and White game is a great opportunity.

I'm not sure Dooley would like players signing autographs during Vol Walk. That's only my opinion of course.

Easy.

Step 1: Break time / space continuum, return to when you were (physically) eight years old.

Step 2: Only then would then be acceptable to seek the autograph of a grown man.

Unless of course it was Ron Swanson -but he skips the pen, and instead, sears his image into you soul with just a peripheral glance.

it won't happen during the Vol Walk. Best bet is to wait outside after the game for when they walk back to the dorm or the O&W game

They have a fan day once a year where you can get coaches and players to sign. Or you could just write them a letter and include a SASE.

the it wont happen at the vol walk is a load of crap, be prepared go to where they start the vol walk be right in front,have sharpie lid off sharpie aimed toward bray with item right next to it and he might sign it. i did them exact steps and eric berry signed my jersey even though i was wearing it. of course it was eric berry and it was the memphis game 2009. but still it's worth a shot, my dad kept telling me before hand it wouldn't happen and it did so it can happen. bray might or might not sign pending his mood.

1. I meant this was for my son, not for me. Sorry for not mentioning that. I do realize it is.. "sketchy" for a grown man such as me to ask a player for an autograph.
2. I dont have a twitter, and Im pretty sure Im smart enough not to ask through tweeting.


Also, where is the Vol Walk usually started, and what time would it start before the Cincinnati and South Carolina games?

The Vol Walk starts at the practice facility, correct? Because I heard that Dooley starts it closer to kickoff now. About how long before kickoff does it start? 1-2 hour(s)?

I wouldn't distract them before or during the Vol walk.
As already stated, Gate 21 after the game. I've seen quite a few people getting them after the game.
Unless they have changed the rules, sending a SASE will only get you the coaches signatures.

Just start stalking them on Facebook and Twitter like some of the other people on here.....maybe that will work :good!:

Go to the applebees on merchants after a game...always a few players there

One thing for sure is Please for all our sakes. Don't pull an Ohio State and offer tattoos in return for autographs.

Hang out by the torch after the game and get auto's as they walk back to Gibbs. I have seen kids rack up there. Good luck! GBO!!!

By after the game, do you mean directly after or say, 30 mins. after?

It might be different now, but Fulmer himself pushed away my jersey and pen from Manning's hands when he was back for the walk a few years ago. I'd try for the Orange and White game, after a practice or game, or try finding somebody on campus with connections.
