I said that all night. They also kept letting guys on the wrong side make the spot, which is why they were constantly so damn terrible. You know, what was as bad in my eyes is the fact that some of the PIs were not called by the official standing within 5 yards of the play LOOKING at the play, but were called by somebody 25 yards away on the other side of the field.
Remember, all they have to do is make A call. They know the rules of reviewing and they know what can and can’t be reviewed, as well as the whole “indisputable evidence” thing.
That’s no small thing. Officials can greatly affect the outcome of a game by little things like that.
I hope none of those clowns ever officiate a UT game and it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if MCB was no longer an option for the Vols postseason.
I think you’re correct. Anyone know what Vegas had on the game? With some of the other bowl games cancelled, a lot of people lost a lot of money from bets. This would have a been a way to make some of that money back.I said that all night. They also kept letting guys on the wrong side make the spot, which is why they were constantly so damn terrible.
These refs had money on the game. No other explanation.
I saw that too. The person next to me said “wtf! He’s making that call all the way from Gordonsville!”You know, what was as bad in my eyes is the fact that some of the PIs were not called by the official standing within 5 yards of the play LOOKING at the play, but were called by somebody 25 yards away on the other side of the field.

I am wondering if the Spread had anything to do with the game.
Us throwing for TDs when we only needed 2 or 3 pass plays to net 15 yards
PI calls by the same Ref
OT TD
If you show a broader picture you will see the sideline judge looking in the opposite direction.
I am just wondering about the Spread Tennessee scores the TD and extra point -
My God, what's next? U.S. Congressmen trading stocks right before industry-effecting legislation???Been telling folks the game has been taken over by fantasy and gambling..That's why at every rule and move made by ncaa is so they can get the outcome they choose ..Big money is involved . I noticed this way back when McCoy took a dive in the championship game against bama years ago..It's even a bigger problem in the NFL ..No integrity in the game any more ..Stand back throw you fandom out the window and watch the games ..The players in the NFL call themselves a fraternity for a reason ..
Mentioned this in a thread that got deleted. Purdue opened -3, last line I saw was Wednesday night Tennessee -7.5. That is more than a 10 point swing. I know little about sports books, but it’s my understanding that it takes a lot of money coming in on 1 side to move a line. The line moving as much as it did suggests to me that the majority of bets kept coming in on Tennessee.I think you’re correct. Anyone know what Vegas had on the game? And nobody ever holds them accountable. Maybe, since this wasn’t a playoff game, they let officials who have been suspended work games. I find it hard to believe that there’s no solution in place. If I recall, in the 4th, Hooker went for it on 4th and 1, maybe 2. From my seat, it was really, really close. The side judge simply stood there. Finally he pointed for Purdue and that was that. No measure or anything. It’s was like all at once, he just said hmmmmm eff or Purdue ball. I mean you can sit there and watch that regardless of which team you root for and say that’s kosher.
Purdue only had 5 penalties the entire game and two were personal fouls (Tillman getting body slammed & Beasley getting his helmet ripped off). I think(?) I remember they had one for illegal formation, and 1 PI (on Fant), so that only leaves 1more the entire game. I have never been one for "conspiracy" either, but yesterday sure would leave a person wondering due to the lopsided calls.Mentioned this in a thread that got deleted. Now let’s consider what we saw from the officiating crew last night. Most are focused on the 4th down in OT, but the truth from my perspective is officiating was a big reason Purdue hung around. False start on the center? Holding on a 40 yard KO return? Did they call holding on Purdue’s OL a single time? OPI? Multiple questionable drive sustaining PI’s? Tillman’s jersey?
Not a conspiracy theorist, but I’m definitely interested in what the house took in on this game.
