So I found this on a Gator forum while looking for updates on their suspensions. This speaks how bad their offense has been since they played us.

I am not sure that I realized just HOW bad it is right now...

In our last 9 Regular Season games we have been historically bad.

So we exploded on offense in the Tennessee game....For the first half.
Since then we have only:
10 offensive TD's (We once scored 9 offensive TD drives against Tennessee.)
3 TD drives of over 59 yards. T-H-R-E-E (Terry Dean once threw for 7 TD's....in ONE HALF)
3 games with ZERO offensive TD's (Spurrier did that 2 times....ever)
6 games without a long TD drive over 59 yards.
Since then we have only had

Tennessee - 1 (2nd half - 1 long drive)
Vandy - 1 (0 over 59 yards)
Missouri - 2 (0 over 59 yards)
Georgia - 3 (0 over 59 and all set up by the defense)
Arkansas - 0 (0 over 59 yards)
USCe - 2 (1 over 59 yards)
LSU - 1 (1 over 59 yards and it was a 1 play 99 yard TD pass)
FSU - 0 (0 over 59 yards)
Michigan - 0 (0 over 59 yards)

This is what Florida has become.

Not to mention they are currently #130 out of 130 of total offense right now. Here's to hoping we don't change that. Feeling relatively confident.

Reviewing our defensive stats over the same period may harm your confidence, so i would shy away from that.

At worst, we get into an offensive shoot out with them. I think we win that battle pretty handily. They will hit a big play or two. Guaranteed. They have players. No doubt. But I don't think their defense is lock-down like it has been.

Speight was 11-25 for 181 yards, 1 TD 2-pick-6's and Michigan still won. Meh.

We could basically play JG and win I think. I think we just line up and run the ball. Rotating Kelly, Fils-aime and Chandler. Taking a long shot at Palmer and Callaway here and there. Probably not the most exciting game. But we will win.

You'll see blitzes in this game. Guaranteed. Probably odd ones, like CB's, Safeties coming up. Their O-line is extremely suspect. Plus playing an inexperienced QB. Shoop might not be the next Don Brown, but my 5 yr old could run a defense to shut Florida down at this point.

But even if we do win by 45 points, there will be the criers on here. Wow-is-me'ing. Asking how we will ever win another game. Lol.

We could win or lose this game. Neither would surprise me. It IS Florida after all. Predictions mean nothing in this game. Lol.

Believe it or not, I've seen our defense play and when healthy is at least serviceable. GT put up yards, but they didn't win regardless. Also, something of note: Florida won't really get to practice at all this week. That helps even more.

So what you're saying is, when we shut 'em down they stay shut down?

I look at it this way. Michigan isn't an offensive juggernaut. Their total time of possession this year is 64:40. Their scoring offense ranks 52nd.

Our total time of possession this season is 47:40. Our scoring offense ranks 27th.

Florida has only played 1 game this season and their total defense ranks 94th. Basically their defense has only had to play 30 minutes of football this entire season and it still hasn't cracked the top 100 in total defense.

We take 'em anyway we can get'em currently.

If we can avoid gash plays and TO's we should win this game. Will say we haven't proven we can eliminate the gash plays on D. I will take 3-0 and live another day if we can get it. I have a feeling our D will play better against FL. We have built our team to defend the gators and dawgs, not triple option. Gators may get a couple long drives but they aren't going to chew up time like GT, so as long as we are modestly effective on offense, avoiding TO's, we should be fine leaning on Kelly and crew with heavy run scheme.

Dormady trying to force a pass into coverage worries me. INTs giving them a short field is the one equalizer for their crappy offense. Punting and making them go the length of the field for every offensive possession will be very important.

Our D has made too many FL QB's look like Heisman candidates for me to feel comfortable.

I was about to post the same comment... well done sir! I am always nervous playing Florida they just seem to find a way to pull someone off the sidelines at the half suit them up and beat us!

This. Fl points off turnovers will kill us. That is more or less the only way they scored vs Michigan.

They'll probably trot out Luke Del Rio Saturday, have a banner day against our defense, and then manage to lose to Kentucky the following week.
