This could bring Bates back into play, especially if the entire staff is released, not just Shanahan.

I imagine somebody will go after Shanahan. But if it's the Lions or Jets that only further proves your point.

Right on.... I was joking about Shannahan. I just figured his firing would bring Jeremy Bates back into play.

He fought with coming here when Kiffin first offered.

I would imagine he might be interested..assuming he loses his job. Most likely he will.

Rumor is that most if not all of the staff will be gone. Sounds like they have someone in mind already, just speculation but Mangini wouldn't be a bad pick.

Tigerdroppings.com has reported Mike Shanahan will be DE coach along side Ed Orgeron.

His success over the last 5-6 years is on par with Gruden's.

Kiffin interviewed Bates earlier but Denver gave him a raise to keep him. Bates is back in play unless Shanahan decides to coach this year with another team. Bates would be great qb coach and assistant OC.
