:ermm:just a thread thaht keeps up wit.h what some of the older playersa are up to these days. and what they did for the vols, i got this idea because i talked to the self proclamed biggest vol fan in the country, he couldnt even tell me who stanley morgan or willie guat or alllen cockrell were.


i ask him who the eairliest QB he could remember was and he said shuler, thas kinda sad.

If he can't tell you who these people are, he's not the biggest Vol fan by a mile.

Your source for Vol info is a sheep if they do not know those guys...I like your idea though.

great idea, but would be better if it were a list that you could look up the player of your choice and click on the name to read about them. there are alot of players that i know their names, but dont really know much about them. i would use it.

i agree with you guys whole heartedley we need to bring the grand poohbah in on this conversation, it would do some of the new players coming in to know whos shoes they are trying to fill,hked out wikipeeia ane they dont have alot o than peyton, i think peyton is the best pro QB to ever play in the NFL. but i think we may have had better college QB's and no im not talking about T martin.i say we start with QB's.tail baccks, wr;s, ec......i would probley start with the doug dickey erra im gona need alot of help with this, i know 95% of them, but not alot about some of them say pat ryan for example.

Dewy Warren or Bubba wyche, That's as early as I remember for QB's. Curt Watson, Haskell Stanback, Don McCleary forRB's. Richmond Flowers, Lester Mcclain(first black player in SEC)WR's of course Stanley Morgan. These are some of my earliest memories. Bobby Majors,Steve Kiner,Jackie Walker,Jack reynolds,Tim Priest,Eddie Brown,Conrad Graham, Just to name a Few!
