Because when you have a thyroid problem it can make you feel exhausted all the time.

In their defense, Marcus Spears whom the Cowboys also drafted IS from LSU, so I guess that is the cause for the mix up.

The thyroid gland synthesizes and releases "thyroid hormone," which plays an integral role in growth and metabolism. Disorders that cause either low ("hypothyroidism") or high ("hyperthyroidism") can lead to extreme fatigue, exercise and heat intolerance, excessive sweating, and heart rhythm abnormalities, among many other problems. Obviously, any of these could limit his participation or even make doing so life-threatening.

I haven't heard what his exact diagnosis is, but if anyone knows, I might be able to add a little more. . . .

That actually could explain why he never seemed to play up to expectations in college. He may have had real physical limitations.

Yes, it could, if it was ailing him that far back.

I did some looking and found that he apparently has an "overactive thyroid" or hyperthyroidism -- certainly, a condition that limits your tolerance for heat, exercise, and sweating and can have serious cardiac effects.

thyroid problems can lead to some serious conditions including heart failure.

it is mostly found in women.

check out grave's disease.

At the bottom of the article it notes "burnette from Tennessee tipped a ball into the air" but was caught by ???

Does make ya wonder about Ced'' while at UT! He just never became that break-thru back. Or maybe i have some Lewis!!!, Henry!! withdraw?
