Washington (CNN)The House voted on Tuesday night to condemn racist language from President Donald Trump, capping off a tumultuous couple of hours on Capitol Hill including a brief time in which House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was barred from speaking in the chamber.
The vote was 240-187. Four Republicans and one independent -- Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan -- supported it as well as all Democrats who voted.

It's truly sad that in 2016 American's willfully voted a racist, noxious, offensive human being into the highest office in the land. It's even more sad how many republicans refuse to condemn such behavior. Republicans should be extremely ashamed of themselves.

Donald Trump is a racist, among many other awful things.

You're a complete fool to believe that he's a racist. Your party is the racist. He's completely accurate.

You're a delusional individual to believe otherwise. Donald Trump is a racist pos.

Reality check: You don't have to use the N word on Twitter or hang a black man from the White House balcony to show proof that you're a racist pos. He's proved it time and time again.

The Tweets were incredibly stupid.

But does that make Trump a racist?

No

Telling 4 women of color who are all American citizens to "go back home" is blatantly racist. You're just as guilty as the entire republican party(minus the 4 republicans with actual balls to speak the truth) that refuses to call out racism when they see it.

While this is possibly true I think we should hold POTUS in much higher standards than the members of this forum. At the end of the day "slightly less racist" is still racist.

What specific policies and/or executive orders has Trump pursued/enacted to promote his “racist” views and agenda?

Sorry/not sorry, one thing said in poor taste doesn't automatically make him a "racist", especially when he hasn't enacted a single executive order or pushed any legislation that would harm a US person of color.

Let's be rational here.

This would be a great list of people who are grandstanding or people who full on took the bait. Trump is literally signing executive orders with one hand and flipping the bird with the other.

Did they also vote to condemn Hillary for saying all black people look the same? Don't be hypocritical, if you're calling him racist, then why do liberals get a pass?

Are you serious?!

Did you just say that you are only racist if you're politically racist?! Step back from the ledge and come back to reality man.
