getting drubbed by Vandy and then having their coach go and cry on tv is like seeing the reaper coming out of your bedroom closet

Have you watched UT this year? Seriously?? Worst position performance in the SEC. He won't make like that.

I'm going to just assume you meant to say that Hiestand is doing such a terrible job with his all-Sophomore (practically) OL with a left-handed center who's snapping right-handed that they can't run against anybody and only pass protect a QB who's passed for Peyton Manning-breaking records.

Right.

Hiestand is the reason Tyler Bray still has a functioning skeletal system. I would love to review this thread around December and see how that worked out.

He has a young offensive line genius. You cannot find a successful offensive line that is this young, it is a position that takes time and experience. Heistand is a successful NFL offensive line coach that recruits love, and he will be here for years.

We also have the youngest and least experienced line in the SEC. You can coach leverage and driving the man off the line, but that doesn't mean squat if you're not ready physically.

Right...I am sure that's what he is thinking tonight. I was in the NFL, I am lock to keep my job even if I am the least productive O-line coach in the SEC. By the way, UF started more Freshmen than UT did. Stop using youth to explain why they are not getting it done.

You can hide one freshman/sophomore on a O-line.

Not 4.

Please go find me a wildly successful team that started 4 underclassmen on the O-line.

I'll wait.

Wildly successful? How about averaging two yards a carry? Too much to ask? Then how about 1 yard a carry? More reasonable? Either way the argument is ridiculous. It is not a comparison. It is about losing and winning. What you are saying is, we are going to lose and that it's okay. We have young players so deal with it. Okay. I don't accept that. You can, but not me. I require more.

PC Jr., how about you learn a little something called reading comprehension. No where did anybody ever say that he was thinking he was a lock to keep his job because he was successful in the NFL. What was said is that he has been successful everywhere that he has been including the NFL and there is no reason to believe that it will be any different here given time. He was put into a rough situation due to the previous failed recruiting classes before this staff got here and is having to start offensive lineman early, he is bringing in talent right now and it will eventually get to where nearly all freshman offensive lineman red shirt, and most do not see significant playing time until there junior year. Also, Florida may have started more freshman across the field, but they were much more experienced on the offensive line, which as many other people have mentioned on here along with me is a position that experience matters.

I bet you do.

That's why you're on a message board.

Clearly, you sir, are a massive winner and I congratulate you.

Enjoy sleeping with your hot wife tonight, and driving one of your many fine vehicles tomorrow.

A tip of the hat, my good man.

The entire o-line run blocking without firing off the line has nothing to do with experience and everything to do with coaching. I'm normally easy on the coaches but that's terrible.

The sad part is, if I sent you a picture of me and her and the kids, you probably would tip your hat. :)

I am here because the games on TV or boring. When I was at UT...things were different. I guess it is hard to adjust to the new normal.

Fortunately in life, I have been a massive winner and I thank God for that. He is kind and generous. I will tell her you said hi, but the kids are already in bed.

Note: My 9 year old son cried after the game. He took it hard.
