I have no news, or opinions on recruiting that you haven't heard. But I'm curious to see if anyone knows anything new (as in the last 24 hours) pertaining to commitments, or players nearing a commitment to us........

Also, if you have any updates on Hughes, R. Williams, Cory Hall, etc. let us all know........

Does anyone have a list of recruits that we have a legitimate chance od signing? I am not sure who Kiffin has visited or who has TN in a top 3 on Rivals or Scout.

The latest news is: "There is no news" Fact is, the only day that really matters in the entire recruiting process is what kids actually do on NSD (the heck with what they say before then), so let's all just chill and see what happens when the time comes, before we get really excited or really depressed. What ya say?

I really enjoy keeping up with recruiting and the progress of the new staff. Just something to pass the time.

Sattelite does not carry comcast channels .... I have the supercharged HD dish network with a 4 bbl carburetor & cant watch it !!!

I think we're heading into the recruiting dead period. Hvwarrior would know a date. But i believe its pretty much upon us. Probably end up hearing more about the assistants in the coming weeks than any recruits.

I don't want to get my hopes up but I think once our staff is assembled, we will hear good news about recruiting.

I think your drastically overrating our QB chances, and I doubt that we even get a transfer QB in..

Hunter has said he's 100% Vol

Myles has said he's cut us from his list.

Browns percentage is still really high, especially since he's considered a silent commit for OSU right now.

I think we're going to get Brown. Based on things he's said to non-UT sources, he has a lot of pressure to come to UT from home, was amazed Kiffin came to see him on day 1, and is lining up his most important visits to go to UT. We're the one's to beat with Brown.

He's been to Georgia 3 times in 4 months, just went to OSU on his own dime, and can't quit talking about how he wants to play with Pryor and Boyd.

UGA is definitely in the top 2 of his choices-- he has been there a lot, and I believe he still plans to visit again.

We are his last official and he's going to visit us one more time before than on an unofficial visit. I agree with AJC's comments that they are the most important because he's saving us for last, so we'll get the final impression.

If I had to put money on it, I'd say we have him-- he's one of the few big recruits I think we'll get. He seems to kiss ass to whomever he talks to-- using the word "amazing" a lot-- but one constant has been that he compliments Tennessee in a lot of his non-Tennessee interviews and rarely name drops other schools (aside from the one he is interviewing for).

As of now, i think we're good.

Dead period is Dec.22-Jan.1st. I believe you are right that Kiffin will fill out the offensive staff and decide who, if anyone, of the old staff remains. It will also give him time to watch film on current players and recruits.
