I think Jakob may be a major contributor in a few years, but he is killing us defensively. MLB is the QB on the defense, and he doesn't know where he is suppose to be much less where to move anyone else. It seemed like the defense settled down once Weatherd and Bynum were on the field. I would really like to see us win the bowl game and have our first winning season since 2009. That could be huge for recruiting.

He will get better but I hope we get AJ back for the bowl. This D needs its leader.

As much as I would like to see him back (if he is innocent), I'm not holding my breath. Time for Maggitt to step into the role of leader. Personally, I think he will be a great one.

I feel like JRM has MLB written all over him. Played SS in high school, imagine next year:

OLB - Weatherd / Bates
MLB - JRM
OLB - Maggit

Sick!!!

I would be very surprised if he ever wore a UT game jersey because once he is released (if he is innocent), he will then have to go thru the team council and serve the suspension from them, just as others has done.

Don't expect him back, time to move on.

Hate for him but bad choices as a leader we don't need.

Bynum is good to stop the run, not to play in space.

While I agree with you about his return, I will wait about commenting on his choices until his guilt or innocence is proven.

:rock:The coaches should get a good look at Jakob with 15 extra practice sessions and the bowl. I hope he cuts it.

I'm at a loss as to why Bynum hasn't played more. You have to rest your starters. Bynum was getting a lot of compliments even last year from practice performance.

JJ looked lost.

Bynum appeared to know where he should be and covered his man when I watched him. JJ will improve. He has only been playing football a couple of years and will be much better.
