Earlier this morning I was posting with others on a thread called " Is Phillip Fulmer a Legend?"...When I came back this afternoon to follow up on that thread I see a similar thread with suddenly 3500+ posts in it.

#1. Did that thread get combined with the new one?

#2. If it did, How am I supposed to pick up where I basically left off of the old thread? Rather than have to sift through 2,000 something posts that some of which were from 2005 season.

I realize there doesnt need to be to of the same kind of threads, as well as the fact you could go on for years debating Fulmer, but at least insted of mixing together the threads into one big one, couldnt you make a PART I and PART II thread or something:dunno:

I agree! I was getting ready to post and the thread disappeared. I cant quote about UT legends when I lost the post I was going to use. (For anyone reading the thread before, I was going to add Willie Gault to the list of legends)

The Fulmer debate is tough to Moderate since it invariably ends up back in the same place every single time. I actually created the "Legend" thread because I thought it was an interesting debate, but eventually it came full circle and became just another CPF thread.

I know merging threads isn't ideal, but it's just an effort to keep the board from getting cluttered with threads that end up being about the same thing over and over again. The posts you are referencing are still there, they're just a few pages back.

We had a pretty good debate going on that one.

At one point, we were merging threads because there would be 4 or 5 Fulmer threads on the front page. However, it doesn't seem to be as much of an issue now so we'll try to take that into consideration in the future.

Most of those posts will be at the end of that thread so I would go to the end and then work back a few pages. You can also pick the page directly from the dropdown.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I think someone should run a poll on this "Fulmer-Legend Or Not?" issue. The results would be interesting to see.

perhaps a definition on the term college football legend should be agreed upon 1st so that a apples/oranges thread can be avoided for once.

Just to clarify...I Totally agree that you dont need to have multiple threads on the same topic....I just started looking for the posts from this mornings "Legend" thread and couldnt find them and gave up.

Thanks for splitting the threads up!!!
