I realize that the circumstances and timing points toward the absence of CBP, but how many can honestly say (besides hat) that coach pearls non-UT affair in the summer had to do with Selby's DE-commitment?

Also what do you think was the reaction from Hamilton?

Honestly? It doesn't matter if it had anything to do with Selby, he was still out of town during half of the eval period. He could have spent that time finding someone to replace Selby.

It was an honor for him to do it. Think Duke fans had a problem with Coach K leaving for the summer to coach team USA in the Olympics?

I mean come on, the opportunity to coach Ernie Grunfeld's kid was even harder to pass up than working with Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.

The next person who makes that asinine comparison should be banned permanently. K is coaching the best players in the world on the largest stage imaginable. He's also representing the entire US. Pearl, on the other hand, is coaching a bunch of scrubs and nobodys in a glorified CYO tournament limited to adherents of a single religion. I bet Tobias Harris is going to commit on the spot when Tanning Bed breaks out his Macaroni Grill Games gold medal.

Forget Dan Grunfeld. He got to get Little Steve some serious run. That's far better than working with Chris Paul and Deron Williams.

I said for Pearl. It was an honor for him to do it. Just as it was an honor for Coach K. Pearl has said several times how honored he was to represent the US in the Maccabi games. That has nothing to do with the level of competition.

So, if I tell one of my clients that it would be an honor for me to lay by the pool drinking at the Palms in Vegas with girls from The Spearmint Rhino, I can just blow off half of a murder trial? I like how you think.

Go check the archived letters to the editor in the Durham paper and see what the number one factor people cite as the cause of Duke's recent recruiting decline is.

Yeah, that's the exact same thing. That would be Pearl leaving in the middle of the NCAA tourney. Who's making the asinine comments now?

I have no probelm with CBP partaking in the jew games and being away from knoxville if that is important to him. The only problem I have with it is missing the the last summer window evaluation period..in the process of landing a CRUCIAL class to this programs future.

If you don't recruit, you don't make the NCAA Tournament. If it's no big deal, why was every other coach of note all over the place recruiting while Pearl was off having his little family pilgrimage? If you don't understand that recruiting is the lifeblood of a basketball program, you might want to find another sport to discuss.

If Pearl wants a job where he doesn't have to work the entire July period and would rather run around doing his little vanity pieces, I'm sure someone in the Horizon League or the Big Sky would hire him. If he wants to be a BCS league coach, he should start acting like one

It's very important in every sport. I never said otherwise. Why do you have to tell everyone off who disagrees with you? What's that about?

STFU! Pearl has the Tenn program in better shape then its ever been in, please enlighten me as to when The Vols have enjoyed more success. He got us our first #1 ranking a couple of SEC champonships, a winning record against the Gators and the Squid. What else do you Einstein's expect. He has an extremely competant staff that I am sure did a complete evaluation in his absence. Give it a rest, negavols are welcomed over at GOVOLSXTRA! Why don't you try it out!!!!!

Yeah, I bet you're really well versed in the talents of college basketball assistants. Just another mouthbreathing Pearlophile raging against the truth. It was fun participating in the destruction of The Fired Coach. Watching the collapse of Tanning Bed is going to be even more enjoyable. In closing, you have neither the intellect, the credibility, nor the seniority around here to tell anyone to do anything or go anywhere.

It's kind of like that winning record against Cal he claims. Utter fantasy. Can't say I'm surprised the Pearlophiles have resorted to outright lies. Their hero is an utter stranger to the truth, so why would his followers behave any differently?

Don't listen to this guy/girl. I would explain why but it would take me a week because of the uninformed dumb a**es on here.

3 SEC East Championships in 4 years and 1 overall SEC title (no SEC tourney champ.). I assume that's what he's referring to. I too am curious about the squid.

Hat, BigPapa, how is anything he said untrue/lies/fantasy, etc.?

Tanning Bed doesn't have two SEC titles and does not possess a winning record against John Calipari. Next.

If SEC East "Championships" had any significance whatsoever, Fulmer would still be employed.

For the love of Christ... there is no such thing. What the hell are we, South Carolina?
