That number is going down. My Dad was talking about how big Candy's guys are, and I was thinking I think Tennessee may be the stouter team. I looked it up, and we have more guys over 200 and they have 3 or 4 more guys over 6'5". Overall their team is taller. So, I think that tells you something. I remember when we used to play Vandy, just how much bigger their guys looked in comparison to ours back then.
I thought Vandy had 3-4 guys that were physically imposing, but while strength can produce high bat speeds, so can athleticism and hard work. I’ll take bat speed over an imposing frame anytime.

Doug Hecker was the star slugger when I first started following UT baseball. He was a great hitter and 1B, but was largely forgotten because he was succeeded at that position by Todd Helton. They’re still 1 and 2 on the list.
I was a pitcher at TN Tech in the early 90s. We played UT in a midweek at our place. We had one of the worst bench-clearing brawls I have ever seen….started by Hecker. Ha. Multiple NCAA suspensions and we weren’t allowed to play each other the following season. I have video of it somewhere. A memory I’ll never forget. Haha.

I'd love to see that video. LOL
