Holly isn’t handling the termination well...

Is it possible she wasn't allowed to address the team? I mean...she was fired. Is it normal for a fired coach to be able to get the team together and say goodbye with the season already over and everybody already left and gone on with their lives?

I'm not sure how it all works with that.
That’s what I was thinking. Usually when someone is terminated they are escorted from the building. Also, I believe I read Phil was contacting and talking to the players. He may have asked her not to contact them. Hope he talked to Horston too.

Tennessee could probably fit her in as an equipment man or trainer
Come on, this is not necessary and what if Hyams is wrong about her not addressing the team. Maybe she was in shock, and believed as many did, that Fulmer would give her another year. I just want to know who the new Coach is going to be.

Little sympathy for Holly.... why didn't she change up the offense once (at least visibly) in her tenure.... why didn't she sit in with other coaches and talk with them...

it was all about about hustle, and getting buckets .... and when she lost it was largely quick shooting and the other team wanting it more...

No grace to step aside.... and she wanted another year to do exactly the same thing...

No wonder this team was all out of sorts. Did she talk to them during the season? ;) She’s a grown woman. Damn. maybe shes not as nice as everyone thinks.

Yeah she did, that's why they lost so much! Remember that game where she didn't talk to them at halftime and they came out, played good, and actually won!? Not sure which game that was, but it showed they were better off without hearing from her, ha!

whoa whoa whoa, it's not that she was a bad coach. She just wasn't at the level that Tennessee Lady BasketVols require. She would actually be a great coach at a lot of schools. Just not with us and the level that we expect.
What makes you think that... if she couldn't get it done with AA talent, she'd be able to be able to do it with lesser talent?

Holly thought she was an elite coach , just in her own mind. She sucked from day 1. I am sure the players had no desire to meet with her. I bet they could not stomach to have to listen to her ramble on during practice. UT owes her nothing.

I doubt Jimmy Hyams is wrong:(

Are you being serious? I’m not trying to get in on this speculation on what went down between PF and HW because if you were not in the room, you don’t know, but are you serious that you doubt Jimmy Hyams is wrong?

The dude gets roasted constantly.
Go on his Twitter and look at the mentions for anything he tweets. Google “Jimmy Hyams Jeff Brohm.”

She failed by Tennessee standards, but should in no way be treated poorly by the AD. She should have a job in the AD if she is willing to work for the salary of a comparable role.

It would be hard to be the boss then be the gopher. Too proud maybe?

How do you even know this is true? Seriously... it’s neither here nor there. She’s gone.

Did you not watch the players interview? Massengill was literally smiling talking about it. Players that didn’t want their coach fired tend to be upset, sometimes so much so that they all transfer. Those girls looked like it was Christmas morning.
