Do you think that the backlash from the fiasco that happened yesterday will cause no good coach to want to come here and it forces the AD to sign Hoke as head coach? I hope not.

It would not be the worst thing that could happen (like hiring Schiano).

May end up that way, as bad as yesterday was botched.. We're heading to another way down the list hire at the least so Hoke would probably be about as good as who they end up with. Laughing stock at all levels.

:hi:With the coaching mess situation, it might be wise to giving some thought to hiring Phil Fulmer and Tee Martin as OC to stabilize the program and giving enough time to prepare Martin as HC or find someone else later.

Keep Hoke and bring Tee as OC and co-HC. Don't need Fulmer to step in when Hoke is the same or maybe better.

It will be who is given the job now yes...

Only other option is A division 2 coach
That's not that good.

Because even a good division 2 coach won't touch this crazy fanbase and depleted team right now

How about you just go pound sand fella. I'd swear you're just a troll trying to stir the pot.

No to Hoke

Still better candidates and the University needs to understand no more second rate coaches

Maybe. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he ends up as HC for a year or two until we can find someone better. Better than a terrible hire screwing up the next 4-5 years.

1) Our biggest problem is figuring out how to wrestle control away from the Haslam’s. 2) Our second biggest problem is fixing the AD and getting someone in there that will not let the Haslams influence their every move, assuming #1 doesn’t change. 3) Then and only then should we fixate on hiring a homerun head football coach. #3 won’t happen while #1 and #2 are the same as they are today.

IMO of course

I did not think that it was a possibility. But, then again, I did not think that Haslam would tell Currie to hire an arshole as our coach and that he would do so.

I am a grown 61 year old man and I have not been this disappointed in someone as I am Currie in a really long time. Guess you can be surprised. I thought that he was someone that could be trusted to handle the job.

Do not see how he survives this. UT should tell the Haslams what Auburn finally did with Bobby Lowder............pound sand, tip your waiter on the way out and don't let the door hit you in the backside.

Kiffin made some recruiting violations. He was green. We loved him, but he left us for his dream job. I can forgive that.

I would love to have lane back. I compare what he did to a man breaking up with a great girlfriend and the them getting back together because the first time wasn't the right time for them to be dating and then end up getting married.
