Just thoughts..... Social media is killing this process.... In this day and age General Neyland may never have been hired and we all know what a mistake that would have been...
1) This a business deal with a lot of proven successful business men involved.
2) Seldom does the inter workings of negotiations hit the news waves until the deal is done.
3) Social Media, irresponsible reporting, credibility checks, contracts, impatience, and people with big egos have contributed to this chaos.
4) Misinformation is your friend. In fact, if I was leaking any info out of the AD, I would be careful. You maybe being used to determine who is leaking info...
5) All the parties' Timelines are part of the process...for example, contracts and dates.
6) Leave the emotions and drama at the door.
7) Competant people are working this process...Due diligence must be done by all parties and contracts must be honored.
8) Social media is not your friend, Message boards, twitter and Facebook Might contain factual information but it is quickly absorbed/countered By other sources that are misleading intentionally to cover the facts.... Some are just dumb asses (attention getters) that don't check their work.
9) Got To love Hargis, Stated what he knew and then gave radio interviews the next day to validate. Set his article up perfectly with the previous article
Regarding recruiting in Chattanooga area And how Dooley had failed there.
10) I would hope that AD Hart Interviews 10- 15 candidates. Let him do his job he will make the right hire and the final decision makers concerned will approve. AD Hart Is not working in a vacuum here.....
11) At present, There are a lot of moving pieces in this process.
12) Lamonte is Doing his job. Was Strong interviewed? Several stated yes but Strong denied it...or did he...will Fisher be interviewed or not?
13) To assume equals ass you + me.....a lot of assuming going on everywhere.This distorts facts.....causes chaos.
14) Be careful not to get caught up in the crossfire, ie Lamonte, Browns, Haslems.....
15) Be careful not to burn bridges with other fans or friends....leave the emotions at the door.
16) Three basic parts of a lie or intentional misinformation are as follows:
- Admit to nothing
- Blame it on somebody else
- Deny everything.
17) Food for your Thoughts.....facts
- This is the most important hire in Volunteer football history.
- Unfortunately not everybody will agree with it no matter who is selected.
- Dave Hart is aware of this above And is very competent.
- The boosters are deeply involved in the hire And that is a positive.
- The administration is also involved And that is very good.
- The local media is either incompetent, emotionally involved, Trying to establish credibility with ratings, Intentionally misled, Cannot connect the dots, Loves the chaos, or all of the above.... Like Trying To scoop dog crap up with a back hoe.
- regarding any hire, Contracts will be broken and it takes time To do it right.
18) This Society has turned into "instant gratification" type culture. Fortunately, the powers that be do not feel that way.....and Fortunately they don't care whether you're sleeping well at night either.... Do you want the hire done right or do you want it right now?
19) Patience is a virtue.....let this play out....why panic.
