If there are any, we have had nothing but problems from the paragon of conflict of interest agent Jimmy Sexton.

I don't blame Jimmy for representing his clients. But wtf is going on w him. Like some kind of schem they have going. Id like to disassociate from everyone involved in this AD for the last decade. The incompetence is pervasive

20 million buyout for schiano? Thats fraudulent imo and reeks of an under the table payment. The guy hasnt been a head coach in 5 years and no one else would hire him in that position and certainly not with that buyout

Congrats to Jimmy. Getting his client Phil Fulmer hired as AD. You know he can’t tolerate being made to look like a fool. And sure as hell, we certainly can’t allow someone like Leach, who is not represented by Sexton, be our next coach. So what do you think? Who will be our next Sexton-represented coach?

After the fans revolted against Sexton-represented Schiano, Currie went straight to someone who dumped Sexton. Gundy. That cannot stand. Then he went to Brohm. Wtf, he’s not represented by Sexton either! Who does Currie think he is? Mike Leach?! Ok - time for a change. Phil, reel one in for Jimmy

Yep, Phil is thick with Jimmy. I still crack up at people who think he's scored a coup on the Haslam family too, as if Bill doesn't have to approve decisions of his bosses. UT's budget and things like that.

There’s a racket going on and they all get paid. Meanwhile we all fork over our hard earned money to their benefit and all we get in return in slop

Meanwhile Sexton and his clients have made out like bandits

I’d like to know what kind of deal Haslam and Sexton have going? He clearly has no qualms whatsoever over defrauding people. And Tennessee fans are most certainly being defrauded. Taking advantage of one of the most dedicated fan bases in college football. Were easy prey. We fork over money and Sexton and his clients make out like thieves. How many millions in salary and buyouts have we forked over? And what do we have to show for it?

They’re a cancer to our school and to our state

This is true but most fail to forget there is a Haslam on the BOT who is actually the chair of the BOT.

Same as Currie having a $5.5M buy-out. Haslam back doored Currie and they were trying to do the same with Schiano. Once in place with large buy-outs like that they are difficult to remove. Haslam was protecting his interests with massive buy-outs like this.

Phil and Jimmy aren't "thick"

Fulmer isn't a Haslam yes man. This was a battle, not the war. I guess we will see how long the BoT, president, and Chancellor want to be associated with a man that got currie fired and destroyed his career, put a massive amount of pressure on them, is making threatening calls to legislators, and is likely looking at being prosecuted for federal crimes due to new evidence he knew of and participated in the rebate scandal. This may also push the NFL to force him to sell the Browns to distance themselves from him.

Does a flagship university want to be associated with that? Money is a powerful thing though

You do realize that a Haslam chairs the BOT, don't you? I know it is not the same one - but none the less - he does have a big say on things around UT due to it being a state run institution.

Yes, that is common knowledge. One of the reasons why I say it was a battle, not the war. As I outlined above, Haslam is really starting to lose a lot of respect in the community. We'll find out soon enough how much influence the Haslams will continue to wield. Bill has political aspirations larger than the Governor's office that he has to protect as well.

I'm referring to Jimmy Sexton in case you didn't know. You know, the guy this topic is about. Jimmy Sexton is Phil's agent. He's thick with Sexton.

Bill Haslam, as Governor is the defacto head of the University of Tennessee. He can remove the entire BoT and name replacements. He can remove DiPietro and Davenport.

The AD interviews were conducted in his office. Phillip Fulmer is the AD right now because it has Haslam approval. They tossed Currie under the bus over the last few days. Currie saw it and tried to hire Mike Leach and leaked that it was close to done but to no avail. Haslam support for Currie was gone and DiPietro wasn't going to sign off on any coach he tried to hire.

IMO, Currie and last week's parade of Sexton clients made sense only as an attempt to extort raises and contract extensions from their current employers. RICO worthy - again, just my opinion.

That might explain why a certain 1% called Tennessee supporters hicks and fed the media lies when "exciting, expensive, and explosive" got blocked.

You know that state legislators could easily control Gov. Haslam if any funny business goes right? State legislature could easily put him in check

Sexton has so many coaches that’s going to be almost impossible to do. To start Tee Martin has him as an agent.
