Hey Hillbilly, I was watching the History Channel last night and I saw this advertised. Are you getting remunerated in any way?

I was unaware of that program but I will make it a point to watch it sometime. I do have an interest in the mountain people from both sociological and historical perspectives. Amongst my favorites is Jesco White aka "The Dancing Outlaw". I never get tired of his videos.

I got a chance to spend some time with Jacob Young, who filmed the documentary about Jesco. He was in Knoxville in '00 or '01 filming a documentary about competitive clogging, of all things. One of the producers was a friend of my wife of the time so I did some production assistant work on the "clogumentary".

Anyway, I had seen the Jesco doc before and it was a neat opportunity to get to hang out with the guy who was behind it. He is an interesting guy in his own right.

I am definitely going to catch the special on the History Channel, too. It should be interesting.
