Hiking, kayaking, biking, skiing, camping, hunting and other outdoor activities. Show me your pictures

I was tent camping last weekend and the folks in the next space rolled up in a pop top van. Setting up my tent and dragging all the crap out of the car to put in it, I will admit to being a bit jelly.
I used to trail hike. Pack it in, tent camp, pack it out. Knee forced a change. Now the wife & I pseudo lux tent camp at bicycle loop ride events. Drive it in, set it up as a 3+ day home base, ride & party, pack it up, drive it home. We've air mattress, folding table & chairs, coolers, lights...

We are growing out of backpacking. We’re calling the next phase truckpacking

this is our thought as well. We both just turned 50 and the ground isn’t what it used to be

Our last tent camping trip was 5 years ago, after 4 straight days of rain dear wife said no more. She told me "If you want me to go camping your getting me a dry place to sleep with AC".

I'm good with platform tents, but they're not exactly something that you roll up and tie to the roof of the car.

Similar here. We camped in heavy downpour for a couple of days. after the first day we had a small stream running through our tent. Dear wife said the next time we went camping shew wanted to camp at Holiday Inn Express.

First pic is hiking Skellig Michael off the coast of Ireland.
2nd and 3rd are county Kerry in Ireland.
4th and 5th are a creek day in Palmyra, TN.
6th and 7th are hiking in Gatlinburg.

Yea I figured it would be my Verlander. But it is almost too nice to resto mod.
I feel like these things need to be driven and enjoyed. Whatever it takes to keep them on the road.

I’m not a fan of the guys who restore old cars and never drive them. I can build a plastic model and do the same thing.
