Crescent Lake was amazing. My daughter wanted to hang out on the little pier at the Falls trailhead all day.

Crescent Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes that one can drive to. The water is absolutely clear, cold , and very deep. I think 600' deep, if memory serves. I also seem to remember that there is a species of trout that only lives in that lake, Beardslee Trout or some such.

Multnomah Falls, Columbia River Valley, Oregon. Unfortunately most of the hikes were closed due to rock slides. Still a great day. Food trucks in Portland are on point as well.
We were in that area a couple years ago. Beautiful area and awesome that you can drive down that highway and be at the next hike within a few minutes, tons of hiking options!

Where are the trout pictures?

I caught several, but nothing to write home about lol. All about 8-9 inches in length. Mostly rainbow. My buddy caught the biggest rainbow I’ve seen caught in person, though.

His catch:

Where were you fishing on the river or did you cover a stretch? If so what distance?

You can look up the schedule for when they are generating water. Get down there just below the dam towards the end of when they generate and you can catch quite a few even just below the dam. I usually cover the stretch from the dam down to a little point called happy hollow. I know guys on the lake that have caught some monsters, but I don’t have a fishing boat so I stick to the caney lol.

What was he throwing? I've seen guys fishing the pond right below the dam throwing big jerk baits. One guy caught a freaking monster. I'm talking over 4-5 lbs

Honeycomb Campgrounds in Grant Alabama. Probably the cleanest place we have ever been to and the landscaping is taken care of. Rent a slip for your boat for 8 dollars a day.

Anyone stay at the KOA in North Nashville (Goodletsville)? We are staying there this weekend for the first time. We procrastinated in making reservations at our favorite spots for labor day weekend and everything was booked so had to settle on this place.
