Im gonna say LSU is gonna be in a slump this year.

I actually think Auburn wins the West but LSU will be a close 2nd. LSU returns a great oline and defense which will always make you good. I think they struggle with a new quarterback but they still win 10 games this year.

More than any SEC team out there over the last decade, I associate Auburn with heartbreak for the Gators.

Losing 10 starters is quite a blow, pretty much the only reason I doubt them and the QB situation. Not saying they won't do anything, but getting back to even the SEC championship will be a feat for them honestly.

Welcome to the board.

I don't think I have mentioned that I got my avatar tat the day that Auburn ran all over us with Cadillac and Ronnie Brown in '03. The game was not nearly as close as the final score indicated, IMO.

I wish I could forget that association.

Vols get surprise commitment

Brent Hubbs
VolQuest.com

Decatur, Alabama (Austin High School) linebacker D.T. Shackelford surprised many including his head coach Friday morning when he decided to committed to the University of Tennessee. Shackelford selected the Vols over the likes of Auburn, LSU, and Mississippi State. For more on Shackelford checkout the Volquest.com premium ticket.

Was wondering about this, didn't see it being discussed anywhere on the board. I know there was a brief mention of it in the recruiting forum but not much traffic about it.

I have a great memory of some Auburn fans for, I'm almost certain, the '91 game. I was out on the patio at O'Charlie's where they had a big screen set up. My friend and I came out and there was simply nowhere to sit and then a table of Auburn students made room for us. They insisted we share their food and not only bought us drinks but one of the guys had snuck in a bottle of Jack and the two of us got pretty much inebriated. Before it was over I remember having one of the Auburn girls smooching on me and my friend said two of them were but I guess I was too hammered to remember that. (or perhaps just assumed I was seeing double) Anyway, it was a great game and Carl Pickens stole the show with a long TD reception late in the game. It remains to this day the best experience I've ever had with opposing fans. (us winning helped) I'll always have a bit of a soft spot for Auburn because of it.
