You all know guys we all have been talking about UTs offensive woes all year now, and we all come up with coaching, executing, discipline, etc. Heres something we may be overlooking. Maybe these guys just aint that good. The coaches can teach and practice all they want but maybe these guys just aint got it mentally and physically. I mean i really dont see anybody on the offense thats NFL material. Just a thought what do u think.

Well maybe Ut should just skip over 5 star players and pick up 2 star players. The talent is there, its just undeveloped.

Well these guys are stars on the high school level in front of a few thousand people. Maybe being in the spotlight is just to much for them, which leads to mistakes, mistakes, mistakes.

I had rather recruit in state talent, kids that would love to play for the their home state VOLS. They would probably give their best everyday something that is missing right now on offense. I guess that would be considered 3 star talent.

those guys showed us talent last year. they just havent had it developed. when you watch them, you can see they have talent, they just cant get it out consitently.

CPF was talking Rose Bowl. Would he do that if he didn't have the talent? Seems to be plenty of talent on defense. They seem to want to win. How many in state recruits are starting there?

i don't think it is the players. they just need a qb and better wide open offense and they would improve. in my opinion i just don't see it happening under this coaching staff.

Could it be a little of a combination of three things? Marginal talent at the scouting, coaching, and players levels? Blue chippers sometimes bomb. Think about some of the free agents who make good in the NFL. Or walkons who star at the college level. Who originally evaluated THEM? Who recruited or drafted THEM? Some body said "Recruit in state". I am reminded of the Nebraska stars from in state who walked on or better still crawled on just for the chance to play for Dr Osborne and the BIG RED. I say the talent, the potential, and the motivation is NOT there at UT. I say Vol fans are being fed an incredible line of sh-- by somebody based on what I've seen this year.

I agree to a point. I for one think if the QB situation would have been handled differently the offense would look more talented. Athletically UT has matched up with every team they have played this year, with the exception of the GA game.

Ut has more talent than anyone in the Sec PERIOD. Whether or not it's utilized, that's a different story.

Just heard an interesting call. How can UT be so wrong about all of these blue chippers we recruit on offense that never pan out?

There is too much wasted talent to be happenstance.

You're right about the QB situation. It seems like anytime anybody has a QB controversy, things just don't happen the way they should. Gotta pick one and stay with him until its perfectly clear he 's the wrong man. I still don't understand why Clausen is starting over Ainge. But I guess the caoches, as dumb as they seem, know more than I do.
